chapter 2

My mom walks in my room, " Get up its time for school! " I get up and head towards my restroom. I look in the mirror , take a deep breath and wash my face. I go to my drawer and put on some clothes. I grab my backpack and I head down stairs , April is waiting for me at the door. As we walk to school April asks , " Vampires going to school, what do you think about that? " I reply, "Well we have to blend in some how. " she replys , " That's true. Just try not to suck the life out of someone . " * We both laugh *

We walk through the doors , April finds her class , before she walks in she says, " Try not to bite some one Jason !" I reply laughing , " I wont ".

I walk up the stairs and find my class . I take a deep breath and I open the door, everyone's looking at me , I can read there minds saying, " He's so pale " , " Is he new?", " Great, another white boy in school .". As I look around , the teacher calls on me, " Are you Jason?" I reply, " Yea, that's me," he points at a seat, " Your seat is right there next to jessica . " I sit down and I just couldn't stop staring at that girl, Jessica Rojas, long brown hair , beautiful brown eyes , the way she smiled was astonishing. She looks at me and says, " Hi , my names Jessica" I reply, " hi, my names jason ." she asked, " Are you new here ?, I've never seen you before.", I reply , " Yea , I moved here about two weeks ago." *The bell rings* We stand up and she says, " Well that's nice, if you have any questions , feel free to ask." I reply, " Thank you " She smiles and walks out the classroom. I can't help but think of how beautiful she is. As I walk out the class, I see April coming my way , she says, " What her name Jason?" , I smile and say," Jessica , Jessica Rojas." She laughs and we walk to lunch.
As we get our lunch this guy skips us. I look at April and she says," Don't do it" I walk up to the guy and tap him on the shoulder, " we where here first." He pushes me and replys, " And what are you gonna do about it?" I ask him politely," don't push me , just can you go back to your original spot in line." He laughs and as he's about to push me , I grab his hands and grip them hard, I push him , and he goes flying to the wall. Everyone just stares at me and starts clapping. The guy stands up and doesn't even look at me, and walks away.

We get our lunch and toke a seat. " You shouldn't have done that " April says. " But he skipped us " I reply. " You could have exposed us Jason." , " Calm down, its not like I showed them my vangs." I laugh.
*The bell rings *

I head to my next class, Gym. Ughh I never liked gym. As I walk in, they send us to the locker rooms, we get in some shorts and a regular grey T. They make us stretch, do a couple of push-ups , some jumping-jacks , and then they make us walk around for 15 minutes. As I walk , Jessica comes up to me, " hey Jason, I seen how you handled Marcus at lunch", I replied," Well I asked him politely to not push me, and when he tried well I just pushed back" she replys," Yea, he's not very smart, he's been trying to be with me since last year" I reply, " Oh, well why aren't you with him?" She reply," He's just not the type of person I would like to grow old with.", I ask, " Well how do you want that person to be? Like what your type ?" Before she could say anything the 15 minutes where up. I go back to my spot and sit down on the floor. At a far distance I see Jessica , she smiles and waves at me, I smiled and waved back. But there was something unusual about her , I couldn't read her mind, its like if it was blank.
* The bell rings *
I go to the locker rooms and change , as I leave the gym , the assistant principle grabs me and pulls me to the office where I see our counsiler and marcus sitting down. The counsiler asks me, " Is it true that you pushed Marcus ?" I reply , " Yes , but on self defence , I asked him politely to stop pushing me, and he wouldn't listen." The counsiler looks at Marcus and says," is this true Marcus?" , he reply," No he's lieing , he pushed me first!" I add, " No he pushed first, there where people there , you can ask them." The counsiler looks at us and says," look, its the first day, I'm giving y'all a warning, be good, and stay away from each, now get out my office." I walk out and head to my next class, the time whent by fast, I met April in the hall ways. We got home , mom and dad asked how was our first day, we replied, " it was good." April added on, " Jason met a girl today!" , I smile and my mom ask, " really?, what's her name ? How did you meet her? What's she like?" I reply, " calm down mom, her name is Jessica, I met her in class , she's really nice , and I like her." Dad asks , " have you asked her out?" I reply," I berly started talking to her " I start walking up the stairs to my room when my mom asks , " does she like you?" , I reply" I honestly don't know." I get to my room I close the door. I lay down and just start thinking, " why couldn't I read her mind?" ," is she a vampire to?", " can she read my mind?", ughh so many thought, I wanted to ask dad, but I wanted to make sure , so I went into April's room and told her, " hey can I tell you something?" , she replys , " sure , what is it?" I reply, " well I can't read Jessica's mind." April reply, " that's weird, shouldn't we ask dad ? ", I added," but I wanna make sure, so I want you to do your thing." She reply," so you want me to control her with my mind ? Well ok." I reply," tomorrow I'll present her to you, and see if you can." She reply," ok, I'll try." I add, " well I'll see you tomorrow, its getting late and I'm tired, goodnight sweet dreams." I walk to my room , close the door and lay down. Let's see how tomorrow goes.
