"Oh my gosh!!! Justin Cedric Anderson is just so...aaahhhhhh!" Jules screams up and down kneeling right before the humongous flat screen TV in her room.
"Seriously Jules, what on earth do you see in him?" I asked her while looking up from my phone.
I stare at the TV screen and find myself looking at a teenage guy with jet black hair and soft brown eyes. He was singing a song which I don't happen to know. I'm not really a fan of his music, but my best friend, Jules, loves every single thing related to him.
And as her best friend, Megan Kidston, who am I not to support her?
"Seriously Jules, what on earth do you see in him?" Jules reply in a whiny squeaky voice. "Shut up, your just blind dude." She replies fiercely yet jokingly.
"Gah. Whatever." I go back to scrolling music on my phone.
If you look at it, the guy is kinda good looking, but never on earth would I ever admit that to her. She would tease me till there's no tomorrow. And I can't and will never live like that, being labelled her fellow "Justin Cedric buddy".
I lie on my back on her bed and click on a random song in my phone. Suddenly, the song "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional played in my ears. Let just say that I really like, wait correction I mean love that song so I start bopping my head up and down to the intro and sing out loud as the first stanza was soon heard in my ears.
"Dude! My bed will crash apart if you continue doing that!" Jules screams and I flash a sorry expression. "Oopsie...my bad, hehe" I reply.
"Anyways, were you listening to what I said a while ago???" she asks while changing the channel. Apparently, that Justin Cedric guy was finish singing and I never even noticed...I mean, duh...
"Maybe..?" I answered sheepishly and smile at her.
Jules just rolls her eyes at me and sit up properly on the bed. "You see, there's a contest on TV where in they will be choosing Justin Cedric's next partner! You know, like do duets with him and be connected to him..?" Jules says wiggling her eyebrows at me.
"And.....?" I asked not interested.
"We should do it!!! Let's try!" she squealed like a little girl full or excitement.
"What do you mean we?" I say pointing my finger at her and I. "What happened to choosing Justin Cedric's next partner? Again, I repeat partner, single, not plural...no s there dude." I say smartly.
Jules frowns at me. "Well at least let me hear you sing..." She looks up at me with pleading eyes and I know that if I don't look away, I would be doing something stupid later on....
You see people; I am not really fond of singing around people I don't know. I mean, yeah I love singing, especially when I feel blue, but I am an extremely shy person. The only people who have heard me sing were my family, of course and some friends. And let me add in, they are very very close friends, and Jules is one of them.
"You heard me sing just now right?" I tell her remembering my mini jam out session singing Stolen.
"But Megan! I want to hear you sing properly! At least 1 full song!" she said while popping every p in the word properly. She continues to stare at me with those pleading eyes, and seriously, I can't take it anymore....
"Fine!" but only one song, okay and nothing else.
"Yay, suuurrreeee!!!!" she replies.. "but let me get my recorder first!" she jumps out of the bed and dashes to her table.
