I drove for hours desperately hoping that Lexi would wake up at one point and want to be here with me but I knew that it was going to take some time for her to actually talk to me and forgive me for how I have acted and for trying to hurt her with Alexis. Honestly I never wanted to do any of those things but I will explain that to her when she lets me. I don't even know if she will let me, or if she will ever forgive me but heres hoping.

Anyway thats not what this trip is about, well not so much a trip but I'm not sure what else to call it. And it was time to tell Lexi why we were driving like 10 hours away from home.

I pulled up into the old abandoned looking restaurant and turned the car off, plunging me into silence. Lexi fell asleep a long time ago but I kept her music on, trying to imagine her listening to each song tapping her fingers and nodding her head, humming along.

I looked over at Lexi, still asleep with the blanket over her. I could hear her soft breaths and really didn't want to disturb her sleeping but her parents told me she hadn't eaten last night, and she also has not touched any of the snacks so it was important that I made sure she ate now.

I reached over and tucked the piece of hair that had fallen over her face behind her ear. She stirred in her sleep a little.

"Lex, time to wake up." I spoke softly giving her a little shake. Lexi's eyes fluttered open and she stretched her arms and legs out, rubbing her eyes.

"Where are we?" she asks, her voice a little groggy from sleeping for so long.

"Just at a restaurant. We can get some food then we only have 2 more hours left until we get there." I suddenly remember that Lexi still has her black dress on that really covers up nothing. Its dark out so that means it's probably still cold.

I get out the car and open the boot, pulling one of my black jumpers out and a pair of Lexi's black converse. It obviously wasn't going to go with her dress but theres not many people here and we are probably never going to see them again in our life's. Lexi won't care and I certainly don't.

I got back into the car to find Lexi putting her hair back up in to a bun.

"Here," I hand her the clothes. "These will keep you warm.

"Thank you." she faintly smiles and takes the clothes from me, nodding in appreciation.

She puts them on, laughing at herself a bit and we make our way into the restaurant which is honestly dead. Theres a few people who look live they live around here, but Lexi and I immediately stick out from the crowd.

We sit down at a booth and I grab the menus, handing one to Lexi.

"So how are you feeling?" I try to make small talk with her and she shakes her head a little.

"Fine." she replies and studies the menu. She must be starving.

"See anything you like?" I ask and she nods putting the menu down and looking around the run down cafe.

The waitress comes over and looks a little too long at Lexi, who just stares back at her. Her attention then focuses of me. "Hi there," she flashes a big smile at me and I look over to Lexi who narrows her eyes. Uh oh.

"hi," I lightly smile and focus my attention back on the menu. "Can I get a coke and a burger with fries please?" I ask politely and she begins to write it down. "Of course you can!" she winks at me and I can't help but look over at Lexi who rolls her eyes. I try my hardest not to laugh.
