Water pushed against the gem, pushing it closer and closer to the shore. The beautiful gem sparkled in the ocean's light, illuminating by the moon in the night's sky. The gem, blue as the ocean, sparkles in a tear drop form. Nothing had interrupted the gem's slumber for thousands, and thousands of year.
The gem had it's body ripped apart in a savage war many years ago. The blue gem was a commander, and just for that, she had all her limbs ripped off fast enough so they all came off before she had gone into her gem. She was unstoppable as they had said, she was the commander of water. The gem used water to fight in the wars as she sat high on a cliff, watching over and showing the water puppets where to go, and who to hit. The water puppets could be slaughtered brutally, and easily form back into their puppets. The water gem was unstoppable. One day, while the war went on, the ocean blue gem decided to leave and give a little life to her puppets so try could keep fighting until there was no more to fight but each other. As she we t to a warp pad, the gem was shot in the back right where her gem was, and fell to the ground. A green gem had picked her up, and took her to the enemies base. A week after the ocean gem healed, she had her body strapped down, each limb pulled harshly away from each other with five other gem's holding axes above her legs, arms, and one over her neck. As the enemies watched the ocean gem, she had figured they where awaiting a command. The leader, who the ocean gem only knew their team name, watched her come closer to her slowly. Before the leader gave the signal, she had said her name but the ocean gem has long forgotten. The I my thing she did remember from what the leader had said was, "we are The Crystal Gems." That was all the ocean gem cared to remember. The signal was given, and all the axes came down on the ocean gem, leaving her in her gem for many, many, many years to come. The leader told the commander to send this gem to Earth, and drop it in the vast Oceans, so she would never be seen again.
Everyone had lived in fear of the ocean gem, but she had never done anything wrong, but listen to what she had to do. She was just like everyone else in the war. The ocean gem was only used because of how developed her water power's where, and how good she was with tactics. No one really understood why they would want a scrawny little runt on their side, but Yellow Diamond, the leader, had seen potential in her, just as she had with her comrades. Jasper, a gem literally made from other gems to become a war machine; Peridot, a nerdy gem, who is best with technology, hacking, and tactics fought with the ocean gem under Yellow Diamonds ruling.
Neither team was good or bad. The Crystal Gems' fought for Earth, while The HomeWorld Gems' fought for Home World. Nothing could stop either team, they wanted to protect their home and keep the team under them. The Crystal Gems' won, and protected Earth, but The HomeWorld Gems' had kept Home World safe from the Crystal Gems. Nothing could stop either team, but the ocean gem who was feared in both teams when she had showed everyone how true her powers where. The HomeWorld Gem's also feared the ocean gem, but hadn't let her know in case she decides to go in power. Jasper, one of the ocean gem's teammates, had always pushed her, even when she had demonstrated her powers. Although the ocean gem was powerful, she was weak and frail, she was easily hurt and pushed around, but almost everyone feared her because of her powers. All the ocean gem wanted was a friend, but no one tried to actually get to know her, instead they would fake a smile, and laugh, and say, "Sure! I'll be your friend! Hahaha, but I'm busy right now! Lets talk later! Okay?" And before the ocean gem could ever say 'okay', they would run off never to be see for a long time in fear.
As the ocean gem's body reformed slowly and carefully, she had kept in thought of what The Crystal Gems look like, especially the leader; A long, curly, pink hair, with a large, light skinned body, and a pink rose quarts gem in her stomach. Chances where, her name was Rose Quarts. At her side, was a tall, black haired, and dark skinned girl with an Afro, two gem's in her hands, meaning she was a fusion. Another one stood on the other side of Rose Quarts, she was light skinned as well, with a light orange hair, and was tall and skinny like a pencil, she had a pearl on her forehead, and was most likely called Pearl. The ocean gem memorized as much about them as possible, and made sure to remember each name she could, although for the black one, she hasn't come up with a good estimate of what type of gem she was.
The ocean gem had hit the shore of some beach, she had sat there for a long time, untouched until the rise of day light had hit upon the gem, sparkling off in every detection. She sparkled, and caught the attention of a passing boy. The young boy grabbed the gem out of the water, and looked at it. He smiled to himself and sat down in the sand with it. The young boy built a sand castle, and place the gem on top of it. The ocean gem sat upon the castle like it was her home. Shells, seaweed, and water surrounded and decorated the castle to make it look like home.
Before the boy knew it, the ocean gem started to fly up and a body had came out of it. A girl, who was just as tall as the young boy, stood upon the castle crushing it under her bared feet.
The boy took a jump back, staring at the blue girl who'd come out of the gem. A big smile came from the boy, and he said happily, "Hi! I'm Steven Universe! You can just call me Steven." He said with excitement. "What's your name?"
The gem looked at the boy, confused by his politeness. "My name is Lapis Lazuli." The gem had said.
