chapter twenty-nine

-Justin’s POV-

“Why don’t you just tell me?” she asked

“I don’t want you to worry.”

“You’re worrying me by not telling me.”

“I’ll tell you as long as you don’t worry or don’t do anything. Ok?” I asked

“Yes.”

“Promise?”

“Promise.”

“Ok well…”

*flashback*

I stopped by a flower shop to get Vanessa some flowers. It’s been a while since I got her flowers so I figured I get her some. I was now walking to my car it was getting dark so I watched where I was going. I was walking get my keys out of my pocket when I bumped into someone. I looked up and he had a mask on.

“Excuse me. Can I get by?” I said

“No. You’re gonna pay for what you did.” He said

“What? What did I do?”

“You know what you did. On New Year’s recall anything?” he asked

“What? I beat the fuck out of Matt so what does that have to do with anything?”

“That means you’re gonna pay.”

Next thing you know I felt a sting on my face. The dude punched me. I wasn’t gonna back out so I fought back. We were fighting back in forward when he pulled out a knife.

“You don’t deserve her. She deserves better. She deserves someone like Matt.”

“No she doesn’t. She doesn’t deserve a piece of shit like Matt!!” after I said that he got even more mad and ran towards me with the knife. I got away from him but he came back and stabbed me in the side. After that he left me there laying on the ground in pain, blood everywhere.

*End of flashback*

“After that I got all the strength I could and drove here.” I said finishing up explaining what happened

“Oh my god. How could someone be so mean and heartless.” She said

We just stayed quiet for a while until she leaned in and kissed me. We pulled apart and I just looked at her.

“I’m really sorry this happened to you. It should have been me.” She said looking down.

“What? No. It’s better off me than you. I can’t seeing you hurt.”

“Me either Justin and I feel so horrible right now. I’m so sorry.” She said on the bridge of tears.

“You don’t have to apologize for anything. You didn’t do this to me they did. And as long as you’re with me I will protect you and you won’t get hurt.”

“Okay.” She said. Just then a tear fell from her beautiful eyes and I wiped it off.

“Don’t cry. It’s ok. I’m here and nothing’s gonna happen.” I grabbed her and hugged her.

She cried on my shoulder for a while and we ended up laying down and going to sleep.

-Vanessa’s POV-

“She doesn’t deserve you.” A guy with a gun in his hand said.

“Yes he does deserve me.” I said

“Move before I blow off your brains too.”

“No you have to go through me before you get to him.”

“Alright.”

He pulled the trigger. I closed my eyes to prepare myself for the pain but nothing came. I opened my eyes and saw Justin laying on the ground surrounded by a puddle of blood. What?! No! Not Justin!!

I ran towards him and started screaming for help.

“Help!! Someone help!! No Justin! Open your eyes stay with me please!!” he wouldn’t wake up. No this can’t be happening to me please no!!

“Justin!!” I cried but he didn’t wake up. Why me?!?! No Justin!!

“I love you.” I cried and gave him a kiss on the lips.
