Chapter thirty-eight

“Make me wake up!!” I screamed to Alicia

“I’m sorry I can’t do that. You’re the only one that can do that.”

“I’ve tried but nothings worked!! Urgg this is so frustrating!!”

“Ok let’s do this. I will end this dream than you can try and wake up. Ok?”

“Yes! Yes! Do it now!!”

The dreamed ended and I was in my body now. But why is everyone crying? I could hear a bunch of people crying. Why?

“No!! No!! She can’t be dead!!” Someone screamed

Dead? I’m dead? No! This can’t happening!! I need to wake up!! I felt someone touch my hand then kissed it.

“Please Vanessa wake up. Please I need you. Everyone needs you wake up please.” It sounded like Justin. And he was crying.

I could feel that he put his head down and his hand was still in my hand. I put all my strength and tried to squeeze his hand and to my surprise I did. I tried opening my eyes and slowly they did. I opened my eyes and everything was blurry but my sight became clear. There were people crying everywhere. I looked at Justin and squeezed his hand again.

“Justin?” I said my voice cracking since I haven’t spoken in a while.

His head shot up and he just looked at me with disbelief.

“Justin, what happened?” I asked again. I looked around the room and everyone was staring at me.

“No. No. No!! This is just a dream!!” Justin screamed and just stared at me.

“Someone call a doctor!! She’s awake!!” my dad screamed.

“Mommy!!” Carlos screamed and ran to me. He jumped on my bed and gave me a hug.

“Carlos. I missed you.” My voice cracking again.

“I love you mommy.” He said

“I love you too.” I kissed his forehead.

“You’re awake this is a miracle! Are you feeling any pain?” the doctor asked

“Yeah my leg sorta hurts.” I looked down and noticed I had a cast on my leg. I’ve must of broken it or something.

“Ok I’ll get you some pain medication. Oh and welcome back.” She said

“Thank you.”

“How are you feeling mija?” my dad asked

“Fine. I’m so sorry.” I said my voice cracking and a tear rolled down my cheek.

“Shh it’s ok we’ll talk later.” He said

“Can you give me some water please?” I asked while pointing to the cup on the table

“Of course.” He handed me the water.

“I missed you so much.” Alicia came to me and hugged me

“I missed you too.”

“How long have a been asleep?” I asked

“A week.” She said

“What? That long. Darn.”

“Yeah. We’ll we’re gonna go get food. Do you want anything?” my dad asked

“Yes please.” I laughed

“Ok honey. We’ll be back in a little bit.”

“Ok.”

They all left and it was just me and Justin. I looked at him and he just stared at me. He was sitting on the couch that was on the other side of the room. Great he’s mad at me.

“I’m so sorry.” I said. I couldn’t look at him so I looked down at my hands.

“No I’m sorry. I should just pushed her off the second she kissed me. This is all my fault.” He said

“No none of this is. It’s mine for not believing you and for not thinking of it earlier. I knew should do something like this the second she told me.” I said

“What?”

“She came up to me at the party and told me she was gonna take you way from me.” I said a tear rolling down my cheek. I didn’t know Justin was close to me until he wiped away the tear.

“You don’t have to worry because I’m never gonna leave you. Ever.” He said

“I’m sorry.” I looked at him

“You don’t have to apologize for anything.” He said then he leaned closer and kissed me. Oh how I missed those lips of his.
