Zuko p.o.v.

We were going to hear about katara's past from this guy. goody! (Note the sarcasm) "well when katara was a younger she always-" he was cut off by katara walking in "what are you guys doing?" She asked "telling us your past" the earthbender said toll or something like that "I rather you not okay" she said "sorry" Ryu said getting up walking to her "it's fine" she said as he hugged her and vise versa. It took every fiber in my body to burn him to ashes. "Now not that I'm not happy but uh why are you here with them?" Ryu said "you might want to sit for this" he looked at us suspiciously but still sat down "I'm getting married to the Fire Nation Prince" he got up angry "NO YOU WILL NEVER GET MARRIED TO THEM OVER MY DEAD BODY KATARA!!!" he yelled "be quiet Maya is sleeping" he instantly shut up "you know we were supposed to get married katara" he said "what is he talking about?" I looked at her "we were supposed to get married after the black sun but you know what happened" she said "please Katara don't do this, don't leave me and village we need you I need you" he said looking at her with an emotion that looks familiar but never had. "Mommy whay's going on?" We looked at the new voice that appeared out of no where "sweetie I'm getting married to the fire nation prince" she said "it's not going to be much of a marriage if you to are so far apart" Maya said rubbing the sleep out of her eyes "n-no sweetie I'm leaving with him and I can't come back" "b-but mommy you can't leave me" she said "I know so I want to give you the option of coming with me it's really pretty there and you can make friends and study different things but maybe with a bit of editing from me though but I can't just take you with me I want you to decide" she said "well I like it here but i don't want to be without you mommy" she said hugging her mom "i'll go pack" Maya said "i'll help" suki said grabbing Maya's hand so she can lead her "is there any way I can go with you?" Ryu asked "no because you Ryu will become Chief" she told him "what but i cant be chief only bloodlines can be Chief" he said "yes I know but both my father and brother are dead, me being the last bloodline but unable to take the title so till i am able to produce an or in other words two heirs i must name a temperary Chief and i think no one loves this village as much as you do so you must be Chief I will hear no discussion about this the ceremony is tomorrow" she said as she was hugging a fur coat with the upper head of a wolf then walks away "here if a person is named after someone its believed that their spirit lives on through them" Ryu said "who was katara, her brother and daughter named after?" Uncle asked "Maya was named after her great grandmother on her father's side she died around the time after katara was born but they had already signed her name, Sokka was named after a warrior who loved is village so much that he died for them guess history repeats itself" he said "and katara?" I asked letting my curiousity get the better of me "katara, in legends, was a beautiful woman both inside and out, treated the people in her village with love and authority but when the enemy came she offered herself in exchange that he, the prince, leaves the village in peace, he filled with his own desire took her to his country and was never heard from again some say he treated her cruelly while others say that she changed is heart of coal but was still posessive of her, then are those dark rumors that went around but the chief of the villaged loved her dearly and imediately stopped the rumors about the woman he loved" Ryu said "do you know who the enemy was" asked uncle "the same enemy we had for centuries" he said

Maya p.o.v.

"Mommy is going to live at the fire nation so im going with her" i told Ama and Elu, my two bestest Friends here "awww but Maya you can't leave who's going to play with us?" Elu said "yeah" Ama said "you have each other remember" i said "oh yea" "Maya why don't you go and play i'll finish for you" "thanks aunty Suki" I hugged her and ran off with my friends "aunt Suki?" Elu asked "yea if uncle sokka didn't go to the lights he would have married her" "Ohhhh" they said "did you tell your mom you can waterbend" Ama asked "oops I forgot let's go" we ran all over our tribe to see my mom sitting at grandma's grave holding grandpa's chief coat "go back to the village i'll see you later girls" I said and they hugged me and ran off "Mommy" she looked up and wiped her here tears and smiling "oh hi honey" I hugged my mom and said "its okay mommy you can cry I won't tell I promise" my mom hugged me tight and let tears run down her face. I know she's holding back but mommy will be okay; she always is. After a while mom told me stories about uncle Sokka, Grandpa and I showed her my waterbending even though it wasn't much but she was proud of me either way. She said she'll teach me everything she knows which is a lot acordding to great grandpakku. So the next day mom made Uncle Ryo chief and explained why this was and they all understood. We all climbed on the ship and that's where I met "Flamma reginam"
