The Claimings

During the summer there were four claimings.

Daniel was claimed by the Sea God Poseidon. As Daniel was walking back to his temporary cabin, the Hermes cabin. Percy called for Daniel to come talk to him. As Percy and Daniel were talking, a floating green trident appeared above Daniel's head. Percy said, "Hey Daniel, don't head back to the Hermes Cabin. You're bunking with me now you were claimed by Poseidon. That makes you my brother. "

Mei was claimed by the Magic Goddess Hecate.
I sighed when I heard the kids from the Are's cabin approach. Turning I glared at them. "Will you leave me alone?" I demanded, my eyes traveling between the three campers. Their ages were indecernable seeing as they were all huge. I'd never be able to hold against them. "Why should we? Going to get your friends to stop us?" The lead taunted.
"What do you want?" I said in resignation.
"Well my girl liked that pretty hair clip of yours, so you are going to give it to me." He stated with a grin. I knew what he was talking about, I was wearing it now. The silvery clip that decorated my hair tie.
"No."
"Well, then I guess I'll have to take it." He stated as the other two grabbed my arms. I pulled against them uselessly, only causing their nails to cut my skin.
"Stop!" I cried, looking around to see someone coming to help me as the leader grabbed a handful of my hair. "Stop it! That's all I have! I said /Stop/!" They all froze at my words. I looked up at them to find them glancing at each other in fear before their eyes focused on something above my head, never moving their bodies. Glancing up I saw a symbol swirling slowly. "Hecate?" I heard someone whisper. "She has so few children....."

Chris was claimed by the War God Ares. Chris was in the Hermes cabin. Chris asked "Hey Jack how'd you like our first game of Capture the Flag?" Jack looked at Chris with a blank stare. "What are you staring at Jack?" Chris asked. "Ummm Chris you must be getting claimed or something because a green symbol is floating above your head."
The next day Chris found asked the older campers in the Hermes cabin, "Do any of you know who I was claimed by?" One of the Stoll brothers answered, "Chris, you were claimed by Ares. I guess he was watching your fighting style in Capture the Flag and knew you were his kid."

Jack was claimed by the Tech God Hephaestus. As Jack was sitting in the big house fixing an old typewriter that he had found Chiron walked up and said "Um Jack, how do you know how to fix that?" Jack answered " My parents never had a computer so I spent my time taking apart old typewriters and landline phones." Chiron then said "Well good job Jack, you've just been claimed by Hephaestus. You're a son of the Tech God."
