16. A Different Situation

        (F/n) woke about half an hour earlier than her alarm clock and slowly sat up. Karma's arms were loosely wrapped around her, so she had to carefully pry them off in order to not wake him. After she finished, (f/n) grabbed her phone and went into the guest room. She made a new call, and the voice on the other line giggled before saying, "Do you want to kill me so early in the morning (f/n)-chan?" Sighing, she quietly talked, not wanting to wake anyone. "Koro-sensei, you said you would award the students who win the top spot in each subject. However, I wish to not participate. I am part of Class A, but I don't care about them and I want to help Class E. But if I were to win the top spots, it would only count for Class A." There was a moment of silence before the octopus answered. "I understand, (f/n)-chan. But how will you get Asano-kun to not count your scores in this bet?" "I'll figure something out. Thanks for listening Koro-sensei. And watch out for everyone's hard work. Especially a certain group of four." The octopus laughed, making (f/n) smile as she imagined his green stripes. "Anything for my students. And I'll be sure to watch out~" As soon as she hung up, (f/n) sent a text to Asano. "We need to talk." A second later, his reply came, saying, "I'll meet you in the empty classroom." She stared at the response before turning off her phone and mumbling, "I won't be a part of Class A, no matter what..." She looked over at a picture frame, where a a brother and sister were hugging each other in a busy city. Little did she know, a certain redhead was leaning against the wall outside as he silently watched over her.
As the alarm rang in the other room, she snapped out of her daze and quickly ran to turn it off. Entering, she saw Karma had sleepily sat up, his eyes still closed tightly as he yawned. Giggling, she turned off the alarm and walked over and hugged him as she sung out, "Mornin' sleepyhead~" "Morning. You should wear some clothes or people will think something happened last night," Karma said in an amused voice. (F/n) smirked as she sat down on his lap. He wrapped his arms around her waist as she wrapped hers around his neck. Karma leaned in and gave her a sweet kiss which she happily returned. At that moment, the door opened and Kayano, Nakamura, Yada, and Kanzaki walked in. Karma and (f/n) parted as the girls' faces grew red. They started screaming and ran out as (f/n) sighed and stood up. Karma whined, "That wasn't even two seconds," as the girl changed into her uniform. "Yeah, but the guys will be rushing up any minute now and I don't want to be wearing only your shirt and a pair of panties then." She then put Karma's shirt on for him after he pulled on his pants. They heard the guys scrambling to get to her room. When they appeared at the door, their faces were all bright red, imagining how (f/n) looked. Sadly, all they saw was Karma sitting on the bed and a fully dressed (f/n) buttoning up his shirt for him. They groaned and walked away as Karma and (f/n) held in their laughter.
As the group finished eating breakfast at (f/n)'s house, they started preparing to leave when the doorbell suddenly rang. Opening the door, (f/n) asked, "Yes?" A hand pulled (f/n) outside and everyone dropped their bags and rushed out. They didn't expect to see (f/n) laughing and hugging an older man that was about in his 20's. "Aniki, what are you doing here?" (F/n) was grinning from ear to ear as she stepped back. "Guys, this is my older brother, (B/n). He's currently in the U.S. army." Facing him again, she asked, "What're you doing here in Japan?" He ruffled her hair and chuckled before answering, "Mom and dad sent me here when I was on break to discuss some stuff with your principle in their place." "Wait out here, me and my friends were about to leave." Everyone turned around and headed back inside. (F/n) walked in the kitchen when a hand pulled her behind the door and pinned her against the wall. "Karma?!" The redhead quickly leaned in and kissed her, letting go of her wrists and wrapping his arms around her waist. (F/n) melted into it and kissed back. After a little bit, they pulled away with Karma pouting and (f/n) giggling. Karma sulked and asked, "What?" The (h/c) quietly replied, "To think Karma was jealous of an older brother. Finals are today, you can't skip it ok?" Karma nodded, but not before pouting a bit.
As they walked to school, everyone other than Karma and (f/n) was asking (b/n) what (f/n) was like as a baby. Karma held (f/n)'s hand and was talking about finals when they reached the gates. "Bye guys! Good luck today," the girl said as she waved goodbye to her friends. Walking into the building with her brother, the older guy turned and smirked at her. "So you got yourself a boyfriend, huh?" (F/n) blushed and scolded him, "Aniki! We're not dating yet!" "Heh, so you like him huh~" (F/n) puffed out her cheeks and mumbled, "Just don't tell dad or he'll go berserk." (B/n) grinned and ruffled her hair before parting ways with her. "I'm only here to talk to the principle, so I'll be flying back to America right after this. See you, ok?" (F/n) grinned and hugged him, beaming, "It was nice seeing you again! Bye aniki~" They then parted ways, her brother to the principle's office, her to an empty classroom.
"Ok Asano, I'm here." (F/n) stepped through the opening and closed the door as Asano looked up from his book. "What did you want to talk about?" He was trying to stay calm, but the (h/c) could tell he was eager. It was the first time she was the first to call him out after all. "I want you to exclude me from your bet with Class E." The ginger dropped his book in surprise and immediately asked, "Why?!" She lazily stared out the window as she answered, "Because if I were to participate, you would only count my scores as Class A. And I don't want to be counted as Class A's. But I can't be counted as Class E's since I'm not in their class. That's why I've decided to stay neutral." Asano walked up to her and started to questiom, "But why don't you want to be a part of Class A?!" (F/n) looked him in the eyes, causing him to blush, and quietly replied, "Because I don't want to. So can you please not make me a part of your bet?" Asano sighed and leaned back onto the teacher's desk while rubbing his temple. After a long time, he finally answered, "Alright." (F/n) looked at him, surprised he would give in so easily. She then smiled in relief and thanked him. Asano blushed and looked away, mumbling out, "It's fine." They then walked back to their class. As the bell rang, everyone in the building started preparing for the finals.
