Three days after the finals, the results were in. Everyone in both A and E class were waiting for the announcement of the top spots. (F/n) walked up to her teacher, who flinched and quickly gave her the tests. She quietly asked, "Can I go?" The teacher nodded, allowing (f/n) to grab her bag and quickly leave as everyone, especially Asano, watched her figure disappear. (F/n) quickly ran up the mountain as the results were announced. Class E had won in taking the top spots of the five subjects, if they excluded (f/n) of course. Rushing to the side of the building, she saw Koro-sensei poking at the redhead, whom became irritated and walked away into the forest. As she ran after him, Koro-sensei called out after her, "Congratulations on winning first place against Asano-kun, (f/n)-chan!" "Thanks!" was all she managed to call out behind her shoulder. Karasuma turned to the octopus and asked, "She took first place from the principle's son?" Koro-sensei giggled and answered, "Asano-kun had a composite score of  491 points. However, (f/n)-chan bested him with 496 points." Karasuma nodded, impressed by the feat.
"Karma! Are you ok?" The girl caught up to him and hugged the redhead from behind. He didn't want to face her, he was embarrassed and a loser; he couldn't face her when she was easily first. "Karma!" He turned around, her voice sounding worried and in pain, and came face to face with (f/n)'s worried face. "(F/n)! Are you ok? You sounded like you were going to cry!" Karma's face was still red, but he placed his forehead on (f/n)'s to make sure she was ok. "You didn't answer me at all!" the girl yelled at him. Her expression softened and she hugged him, whispering, "Are you feeling well?" Karma hugged back tightly, burying his red face in her hair. "I could've done better..." he answered. 'She smells nice...' was all he thought as he closed his eyes. The girl giggled slightly, which annoyed him, and he snapped, "What's so funny?" (F/n) looked up, whispering, "I told you to study more." All Karma could do was cluck his tongue and remain silent as (f/n) kept hugging him. He had to admit, her presence did make him feel better, even if she was a little bit annoying.
As the two entered the classroom a little later, everyone was talking about the results. Karma sat down in his seat while (f/n) leaned against the chalkboard. Koro-sensei started talking about the three who took the top spots when Terasaka's group walked up front. "Oi, hold up there, octopus. There weren't just three people who hit #1 in the five subjects." Confused, Koro-sensei started naming the five when Terasaka went, "Haah? You missed one, dumbass." He then proceeded to reveal his group's tests for home economics, where all four got full points. The octopus started panicking, realizing that he now had to give up seven tentacles. (F/n) was cracking up as she somehow managed out, "I told you to watch out for a certain group of four, you stupid octopus!" She was laughing so hard, tears were coming out of her eyes as everyone joined in on the teasing.
After the ceremony, Kayano walked up to (f/n) and told her about the prize. "Since we won the bet, we're going to take the prize of a 3-day, 2-night trip stay at an Okinawa Island Resort!" (F/n) smiled at her enthusiasm and said, "Sounds amazing. Hope you guys have fun!" Kayano tilted her head, confused at what she said. "But you're coming with us!" (F/n)'s eyes widened and she immediately walked over to Karasuma and asked, "Am I allowed to come?" Suddenly, everyone appeared behind her, yelling out, "You definitely have to come!" and other phrases along the same line. (F/n) looked at all her friends and then up at Karasuma, who nodded. Her face broke out into a wide smile as she hugged Yada, who was the closest to her. "I can't believe I get to come!" was all she managed to say as they started talking about their assassination plan.
Over the break, everyone in 3-E made regular visits back to school in order to focus on their assassination plan. But for some reason, no one was able to contact (f/n), not even Karma. She received a copy of the assassination plan, but they had no contact with her at all. (F/n) had actually gone back to America to visit her brother, in order to learn more about attack techniques as everyone in class 3-E also learned and practiced. She even discovered a secret skill around the same time as Nagisa. The day before departure, she finally contacted everybody who were relieved to finally hear from her.
On the boat, everyone scolded her for making them worry. "Sheesh, how many more times do I have to say sorry?" the girl complained as she unplugged her ears. The ride to the island takes six hours from Tokyo, and there was only half an hour left before they arrived. "(F/n), I want to show you something~" Karma had devil horns and a devil tail as he took (f/n)'s hand and dragged her into a secret room. "No one found the entrance other than me, but it's pretty cool~" Karma started walking down a flight of stairs as (f/n) took in the surroundings. They suddenly stopped and (f/n) saw a small, cozy-looking room with comfy looking seats, along with a large window, showing all the fish that passed by. "Eh, this looks really nice~" Karma sat down as she walked over to the window and stared at a passing school of fish. After a moment, (F/n) felt Karma tug her hand. As she turned around to face him, she tripped on the rug and fell on top of Karma. "Ow, are you ok?" The redhead looked at the (h/c), who nodded while rubbing the back of her head. She repositioned herself and sat sideways on Karma's lap. Staring into his golden orbs, (f/n) stayed completely still, unable to look at anything else. Karma wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a tight embrace as (f/n) placed her hands on his chest. Leaning in, Karma gently kissed her, surprising her since he would always make a kiss deeper or rougher. As he pulled away, (f/n) giggled slightly, which made Karma pout a little. Karma placed his forehead on (f/n)'s, and for a long time, they didn't do anything other than stare into each others eyes, both with a peaceful smile on their face.
