Ivy's POV
After the bonding with the girls, I went straightly on my condo and slept. The next weeks became busier than before. We rarely go out because of our busy schedules. The next day, Shane went to my company saying that this coming next month will be our alumni homecoming and we are the batch sponsor.
"Shane, you I can't go to the alumni cause I have a schedule on that day and that would be my business meeting with the investors from South Korea." I said with a stern voice intending her to understand. "No way, our alumni will be only held once a year and you just came back. So no excuses, you and the rest of us will go. By the way, you will be the one who will have an opening remarks in the program list. Bye." She retorted with a small smile and walk away.
"Hey! Shane wait! " I said while running towards her. Damn! I could not even say no to her. So I decided to back and work over the piles of paperworks on my table. Then I called my secretary to have an emergency board meeting with the board members about the investors from South Korea.
" Please call a meeting with the board members. Thanks." I said. After four hours of debating in the meeting room, they finally agreed that the Vice President will be the who will welcomed the investors intending my schedule to attend the said reunion.
After the meeting we all went home. As soon as I arrived my phone is ringing then I look to the phone screen who is calling me, it was Shane.
"Hey, I just like to remind you that tomorrow we will have our meeting about the upcoming alumni homecoming next month." Shane said. While listening to her, I remember someone who was part of my past. "Hey, you remember him. Do you? Your spacing out again." Shane said. "Yeah. I just remember someone who wasn't worth to remembered with." I said while smiling bitterly. "Well, I have to go now. Bye Ivy take care, okay?" Shane said. And she cut the line.
