Chapter Five - The Meeting

Ivy's POV

Damn! I now officially hate mornings. I just want lie down to my beautful queen size bed and never want to report to the office. Then again my phone is ringing and guess whose calling early in the morning. You're probably right its Shane again.

"Rise and shine Ivy, its already 8:15 in the morning." Shane said "Good to morning too, Shane. What time and where would be the meeting?" I said while smiling through the phone."Well, the meeting would be at  Tim's resto at lunch with some of our batchmates and friends." Shane replied."Thanks, Shane." I replied.

I arrived at the office at exactly 9:15 am and do some phone calls. I never noticed that the time was already 11:30am. "What the heck! Its almost lunch, I had to hurry up before Shane would be angry with me." I said while hurrying to go outside.

I was not aware that my speed is getting faster as I rode my car. The police car block my way and make some noises before approaching me. Suddenly, the policeman got off the car. While he was walking, I suddenly remembered someone because he looks familiar. "Good day, miss you've commited a violation in over speeding. May I have your license please." Said by the hunky officer. "Here. Ahm, Officer?" I said while questioning him. "Officer Daniels. Chester Jay Daniels." He said "Chester? Hey, its me Ivy." I said to him. "Ivy? As in Ivy Grace Lavaine!" He said "Yup, the one and only." I said while giving him a sweet smile.

"Ches, sorry if I over speed my car I was just hurrying because of I have a meeting together with our batchmate. Your coming, right?" I explained. "Ah yes, I clearly remember now. Well, don't worry about the penalty I'll handle it because I forgot about the meeting." He said and winked at me. "Really? Thanks. What would you like in return, a coffee perhaps?" I said. "Well, its a date then. Tomorrow at 4:00pm would be okay, right?" He said while grinning. "Yes, tomorrow would be okay. Now let's go because I don't want Shane to be upset." I said and we went separated to our cars.

Tim's Restaurant

Shane's POV

We were getting impatient because its already 12:05pm and Ivy did not arrived yet. "Shane, where is Ivy ? Our batchmates are already hungry." Merish said. "Her secretary already told me that she was hurrying to get outside and drove fast with her car." While I was saying this to Merish, Ivy is here already with someone. "Hey, is that Cedie? Wow, his gorgeous and who is that girl? They look so good together." One of my batchmate said.

Well, they clearly caught the attention of everybody. Men are obviously jealous with Cedie and the girls are glaring at Ivy. "Thank God, you have arrived. What took your time Ivy?" I said and everyone was dumbfounded for they did not expect that Ivy had came home. "Sorry. It was Chester's fault. He almost arrested me for overspeeding but I reasoned out about the meeting, so he will save me from the penalty. Right, Chester?" Ivy said. "Yeah. It was partly my fault that we got late. But it was worth it." Chester replied and winked at Ivy. "Yiee.." They said it altogether.

After that, we had our lunch and talked about the upcoming alumni homecoming. When we were about to leave. We did not expect to have another guest. "Hey guys, sorry I'm late. So, what had I missed?" The stranger said.

Ivy's POV

While we were eating, I'm really glad that everyone welcomed me and I enjoyed the company of Chester. Well, we talked about the past and our career today. After eating, another guest arrived. "Hey guys, sorry I'm late. So, what had I missed?" The stranger said. When I turned back, I saw the person who was talking and and leave me shocked.
