Dedication: highonhoodings. Why, thank you.

Cashton, everyone.

Calum pulls on his skinny jeans and doesn't even bother with his hair. He's late enough as it is, and he can't be bothered with silly things like brushed hair when he has three boys to see.

"Mum, I'm leaving!" he calls, stumbling down the stairs with his backpack in one hand and his Converse in the other.

"Calum, where are you going?" she asks, and Calum skids to a halt.

"What?" He looks over at her, confused.

"I thought you didn't have school today."

His eyes widen with realization, and he drops what he was holding. "Oh, shit, you're right."

"Wow. I've never heard someone be so disappointed over not being able to go to school."

He sticks his tongue out at her in a childish manner before grabbing his things and rushing back upstairs.

After his date with Luke Monday night, it was obvious that something in Luke had changed. He was more giggly, if that was possible. When Calum saw him at lunch on Tuesday, he was absolutely beaming, hiding behind his hands, and giggling nonstop, making Ashton and Michael give Calum quizzical looks, to which he would just smile and shrug. Luke wasn't being clingy, he was just happy, and Calum liked that he was happy. The rest of the week had been filled with cuddling and holding hands, and Calum got so wrapped up in the boys that he forgot there was no school this Friday.

He flings his bag and shoes onto his bed, then takes his phone out of his pocket and calls Ashton.

"What the fuck do you want?" the boy answers in a deep, scratchy morning voice.

"Oh, sorry, did I wake you?" Calum asks, having already forgotten that it's early in the morning, even if he would have been late to school.

"Yes. What do you want?"

"Would you like to go on a date with me tonight?" Calum didn't exactly have a plan yet, but he was thinking of one.

"Uh, sure?"

"Great!"

"I have football practice, though. It starts at five and ends at eight."

"Okay, I'll pick you up afterwards."

"I'll be all sweaty."

"Sweaty can be hot."

"Calum," he groans.

"Fine. Can you bring a change of clothes or something and shower after your practice?"

There's some rustling from the other line, and then Ashton says, "Yeah, sure. Meet me at the field at eight fifteen."

"All right. Bye, Ashton."

"Bye, Calum."

Calum hangs up, and smiles at the thought of going on his first date with Ashton, but his smile falls when he realizes he has absolutely no idea what kind of date he should take Ashton on. What does Ashton like?

He thinks of at least seven different scenarios before he's pretty sure he has one that Ashton will like. It's cliché, and it takes place in horror movies, but, eh. He gets to work on the food and the car and just everything he'll need, and once he's done with his plan, he watches Netflix and waits until he can pick Ashton up.

Ashton is surprised when he sees a certain car park close to the field, where his and his teammates cars are parked. He's still surprised when a certain someone gets out of the car and walks over to the bleachers, wearing a big grey hoodie and black skinny jeans that hug his legs nicely.
