"Oi Happy, why is Lucy taking forever to get here" Natsu complained
"She's probably getting ready for you"
"HAPPY!"
Natsu rested his head on the table.
Where are you Lucy? He thought My heart doesn't pound when your not here...
All of a sudden the doors opened letting off a loud squeak.
"Good morning everyone" Lucy shouted
"Good morning Lu-chan, I whipped up your favorite as Natsu ordered" Mira replied giving her a I know what's going on type of look
"Yo Luce, over here" He put off a huge smile as Lucy walked over and grabbed a seat.
"Thank you.. Natsu" She blushed
"Haha... No problem Lucy" he said wiping the sweat off his brow
Here it comes... The pounding in my heart The two thought
"You know Lu-chan you're really lucky to have some one who cares"
Mira glared
Not knowing what to say she just smiled.
"Natsu.. Why don't you give me and Lucy some private time alone... Just for a second"
"You girls are weird... But ok. Im gonna go see what that ice head is babbling about"
It's been a while since Mira has called Lucy by her actual name so she knew what this conversation would consist of.
"Lu-chan... You know he isn't a mind reader right?"
"What are you getting at"
"What she means is" Cana interrupted "It's not that hard to tell what's going on between you and Natsu. It's been seven years now. If you want him go for it"
"I agree" Erza commented
Lucy's face turned a bright red
"Well see... T-The problem is... I don't know how to make the first move and what if he doesn't return the same feelings"
"Oh trust me, he will" The three girls said in unison
*Natsu's table*
So. She does like me The Dragon Slayer thought he put his hand over his forehead.
"Should I be the one to take the lead...?" He whispered
For a moment it felt like someone was staring at him. He turned only to see that is was Lucy glaring at him from across the room. The two then turned their heads quickly, not knowing what to do.
"You know... I heard that" Gray chuckled
"Huh?"
"I may not be a Dragon Slayer but I have just as good of ears..."
"What are you talking about Gray?"
"You're such an idiot... Yes you should make the first move"
"Says the guy who has confused feelings about Juvia"
"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!! For once instead of fighting I'm actually trying to help you dammit"
"He may have mixed feelings... But he's right" Lily commented "It's only in our nature that the guy takes the lead"
Natsu looked back at Lucy. Her blonde waved under the guilds air duck, he could smell her vanilla shampoo.. His favorite.
"Do something special... Something that she'll never forget" Lily finished
Special... How can I do that when I cant control myself around her... What If I say something stupid and blow it all. WHY ARE MY FEELINGS SO FRUSTRATING! Fire started to come out his fingers naturally.
"You should try not to let your feelings control you or else your screw it all up." Gray retorted
"I'm gonna grab Lucy and head out"
Now i'm the one that has to think
He walked towards Lucy slowly and wrapped his warm arms around her soft and swiftly. She turned and glanced at her pink haired friend.
"Natsu... Don't scare me like that"
"Hehe... Sorry Luce, I was wondering if you wanted to head out maybe walk by the river"
Her skin went from freezing cold to boiling hot in an instant.
"S-Sure Natsu"
He slowly laced his fingers with hers.
"Well I guess we're off.. See you later Mira"
"See ya Lu-chan and don't forget what we said"
The two said their farewells and went off to see the beautiful sunset by the river.
"Where are they headed Mira" Lisanna asked
Mira smiled
"On a river date"
"Im rooting for you Lu-chan" Lisanna shouted
Natsu had everything set as planned. The blanket, the food, the note he practices almost everyday, and the special surprise. All he had to do was conquer his feelings and play it smooth.
