Chapter 16

The Civil Wars - Barton Hollow

Everything happened so fast.

After the soldier informing us of the invasion everyone ran around grabbing their armour and equipment with my father bellowing out command's.

"Those nasty little creatures. I should have known." he'd shout.

Eros and Adonis who were right beside me quickly grabbed each of my arm's and ran to the castle. They brought me to the safe room where my mate's and my mother's, maid's and other's being left behind were located.

"You need to stay here, Petrova. It's not safe out there." Eros said as they brought me to our mother's who were all in tears yet trying to keep everyone calm. They gave them a hug and then me.

"It's funny. You see, you guy's have to stay here to. Because, you know, its not safe." I repeated what they said earlier.

They looked over at me.

"Petro-" Eros started but I cut him off.

"Father's order's. Seems that us three are too important to risk in a fight."

They were pissed.

"We are the future King's." Adonis replied through gritted teeth. "It is our right to go into that war."

"Now you know how I feel." I said giving them a shrug.

They both shook their head's.

"Mother?" Eros asked. "I need you to watch over Rova while we are gone."

She looked to her son and nodded. My mouth dropped. Adonis asked his mother the same thing and she also nodded.

"But-" I tried to say.

"We are going to go fight, Rova." Adonis said and kissed me.

"Stay safe." Eros added and kissed me as well before they left.

I just stood there staring at the door with my mouth open.

What the Hell?

I looked to my mother who still looked all teary-eyed but gave me a small smile and patted my shoulder before she went back to trying to get everyone to keep calm. I shook my head and clenched my jaw. I'll be damned if I am just going to sit here waiting for one of the people I love to get hurt or die. I looked over my shoulder to see our mother's busy helping people to notice me go so I took the chance and crept to the door with my eye's on them. I made it outside and quickly ran to where my equipment hid which included armour to cover my chest, arm's and thigh's like all of the other soldier's, a couple of dagger's and my katana sword.
When I have everything I quickly run out of the castle and follow the screams and yell's.

I stopped as I came across the fight.

Fire, Blood and bodies.

That is the first thing I see and there was so much of it. I have never seen anything like this in my lfe. Pretty much because I have never been in a fight before but still.

I looked around me to see demon's with species of all kind. I also see the witch's that are being forced to be in this war by the demon's helping them. I see my people fighting and it's hard to see who is winning since the Demon's look even to us. Some critter looking creature started running for me so I took my sword out of its holder and as the creature tried to tackle me I brought the sword down on its neck severing the head from the body. Blood splattered onto me but I didn't worry about it since there's plenty more where that came from.
