Chapter 7: Wishing somehow..

.A/N Hey Everyone just letting yu know the song I'm about to use might not make any sense if you have not seen this movie so I put a link of the video and yeah....on with the story!

Rhett comes stomping through the door.

Rhett:I'm home!Beck?

I pause the movie.

Me:Hey I'm in here.

Rhett comes to the living room and there is a man following right behind him. He is slightly shorter than Rhett, has Short black hair, and brilliant blue eyes that are framed with glasses. This was probably Link.

Rhett: Hey Beck I want you to meet someone.

Link comes over and tries to become my level by sitting on the couch with me.

Link: Hey there......So I hear your name is Beck.

I feel a little uncomfortable so I shift myself away to the father end of the couch.

Me:Yeah.....and you must be Link.

Link: Yep that's me. I was there when Rhett rescued you. I of course I helped too.

Rhett: Yeah by just starting the car and driving.

Link: Hey it was something!

I sit there and laugh. Even off the camera they were so funny together. I move back closer to Link now that I felt more comfortable.

Me: I'm sure you did fine helping Link. Thank you.

Link shot Rhett a satsifed look and Rhett Just rolls his eyes.

Link: Well, I think I'm gonna head out. It was nice meeting you Beck.

Me: You too Link.

He gets up from the couch. He tells Rhett goodbye and leaves.

Rhett:I swear Link is such a knuckle head sometimes.

I laugh at his remarks.

Me:I don't think you gave him enough credit.

He laughs too and sits next to me on the couch.

Rhett:So what are we watching here?

Me:Uh....just some Phantom of the Opera.

Rhett: Phantom what?

Me:Phantom-of-The-opera.

Rhett:Ooooooh. Never heard of it.

Me: Well.....I just started it....do you wanna watch it with me?

Rhett: Sure why not?

I take the remote and pressed play. It was annoying at some points because Rhett kept asking me questions while the movie was playing. It was nice though to watch the movie with someone......she would never watch it with me but my dad loved the movie just has much has I did.

Rhett finally stopped asking questions once we got into the middle of the of the movie.Thank God.

I wanted to skip this part of the movie since for some reason I nevered liked it. However, since Rhett had never seen this movie I couldn't.

In the movie,Christine just got off the carragie and entered the cemetery to go see her father's grave.

"You were once my one companion,you were all that mattered......"

Her singing voice, so beautiful, echoed through the speakers.

"You were once a friend and father, Then my world was shattered......."
Those few lyrics caught my attention.Since from always skipping this scene, I never actually heard what this song was about.I brought my knees to my chest and put my direct focus on the song.

"Wishing you were some how here again wishing you were some how here

As the song was reaching its climactic point I felt like daggers were piercing my heart......

The song ended and tears filled my eyes......I knew how Christine felt....I missed my father too and the Times we spent together. I wished he was still here.

Rhett:Beck you okay?

I quickly wiped away my tears.

Me:Yep I'm fine Rhett.

We finished up the movie and Rhett seemed pleased.

Rhett:That was an excellent movie!

I smiled and got up from the couch.

Me: I think I'm gonna head off to bed.

Rhett: That's probably a good idea. We have a lot of things to do tomorrow.

Me:What?

Rhett: You will see....
