Bad First Impressions

Chapter 2

Kaitlyn's PoV:

I was sitting quietly in my seat in first hour when the teacher said something I dreaded hearing. 'You will be working with your desk partner on this next assignment.' I almost screamed. I did not wanna work with Myles at all. He was the Jock of the school. I hated him. Our assignment was to get to know each other then write a paper on them. I could already write the paper now. 

"Looks like it's me and you." Myles smirked.

"Greaaat" I said sarcastically giving him a glare.

I walked out of first hour and straight to second. I didn't want to be by Myles anymore today than I already had to. I sat down next to Veronica in 2nd hour and told her how I had to be partners with Myles. She felt bad for me. This day couldn't get any more worse,  right? 

Well I was wrong. This day did get worse. At lunch, this kid named Dylan ran into Veronica, who was in front of me so she fell into me and we both fell on the ground. Our food went everywhere. I could tell he did it on purpose because he started laughing and walked away. He was friends with Myles. Veronica and I went to the bathroom to clean ourselves up. 

"That bitch did that on purpose" I yelled.

"Right. He was smiling when he did it." She stated.

"I bet Myles told him to do it."

"Yeah no kidding."

We finally got all the food off of us and picked up our stuff. Lunch was almost over so we just headed to 5th hour. In 5th hour, Kalin, who sat behind me, kept poking me and Skylar in the back. It got very aggravating. I was about to get up and slap him, but Skylar kinda beat me to it.

"If you don't stop, I will get up and slap you in the face!" she scolded.

"Hey calm down! Someone's fiesty." He winked.

"No I'm just tired of you poking my back."

"Sorry fiesty mama." He threw his hands up in defense.

Skylar glared at him and then sat back down. 5th hour couldn't go any slower. In 6th hour, I had Myles and his 2 friends, all in that class. I was glad I wasn't near them though. Myles sat 2 rows in front of me, Kalin was in the back on the other side of the room, and Dylan was in the front. I sat by some random kid, who I had no interest in getting to know. I was working on our assignment when something hit me in the back of the head. I looked around to see Kalin trying not to laugh his ass off out loud. I glared at him then continued to do my work. 

I finally got to my last hour of the day. I couldn't wait to go home. We were playing soccer in P.E. again. We had a small break in the middle of class to cool down a little bit. I decided to walk over by JakeeyP since I didn't really know anyone else here. He wasn't by anyone either.

"Hey Jake." I said.

"Oh hey Kaitlyn. What's up?" he replied.

"Nothin really."

"Hey you wanna come over and hang out after school?" he asked.

"Uhhhh yeah that'd be fine I guess." I really didn't want to considering Myles was there but Jake was my friend and it would be nice to hang out. I also didn't want to be rude about it because he came to my house last time. 

"Alright I'll see you after school." with that he ran off and we continued to play soccer.

After P.E. I got dressed and headed to my locker. I put all my stuff in my bag and headed for my car. I saw Myles in the parking lot. I really needed to talk to him about our project for first hour. I really didn't want to do this but I wasn't going to fail my classes because of him. I decided to walk up to him and talk about it. He had just got done talking with his friends and was walking to his car. I had a really sassy walk too. Once I got closer, he noticed me and rolled his eyes, and continued to walk to his car. I quickly ran up to him before he could shut the door on my face.
