Zaul was frozen, his mind raced. He did not know what to do, let alone how to react to how the girl knew. Hesitantly he remained still, acting as though he did not know the name much less the person who the ghastly name belonged to.
Zaul refused to show any amount of agitation, his eyes remained tightly shut. If his bodies actions responded oddly to her familiar question, Luna would know something he only prayed she did not.
Why Zaul? His body stiffened as he felt Luna kneel down beside him, her hand roaming his back and down to his side. He declined the rising sensation his heart produced, Zaul couldn't control it.
His heart itself was backstabbing him. It beat erratically with every new stroke Luna prodruced against his fur, wandering if she cared at all that she was touching dirt and blood along with it.
"Because you're mean just like that guy." Zaul laughed deeply with the amount of poison Luna held in her tone. Immense waves of relief filled his body along with the warm touches she was giving him. Letting himself relax and fall into her embrace as her arms wrapped snugly around him, her head at the base of his neck.
Your boyfriend is he? He heard the girl scoff into his fur, cuddling her face deeper in to it. Zaul could smell and hear her blood pumping organ thumping against his back as his own heart beat with her in the same pace.
"He wishes, the few times we have talked he has been nothing, but rude. He couldn't even remember my name." Zaul felt as the grip Luna had on him tightened, as her hands clutched deeply on to him. Sadness was dripping out of her into him, as his own bleakness overwhelmed her.
Are you sure he does not belong to you? She shook her head furiously in to him as he let his anguished feelings overthrow themselves into her. Luna's body was being engulfed, even Zaul could feel it. All his problems and past where freely flowing into the accepting and delicate body of the girl.
He could feel as she shook releasing a single tear, pouring out of her eyes on soaking slowly into his fur. Zaul whimpered along with her silent sobs. He was freeing himself by immersing Luna in his agony.
It was her duty, if she was his mate they both had to carry each others burden. Luna however was carrying more than enough of hers along with more than half of his share.
"You know what's funny wolf? I'm actually crying for him, shedding blind tears for an inconsiderate guy who will never even grant me a spare glance. A weak person who hides himself through the charade of being better than any one else. Worse yet. I don't even know him."
Zaul listened intently, as she laughed choking out through more hidden tears. Her voice echoing and vibrating immobilizing his aching heart. Luna had been correct about him in a sense, he did step on others, but not to hide himself from them only to get a simple laugh at the cost of there tears.
Why then do you put up with him? She laughed again, even if it was evident that the girl did not mind Zaul's previous actions towards her, he knew what she was truly feeling. Even though their encounters had been few, they had hurt her deeply.
Zaul understood why, the whole time he had been blind to the fact that they had been entitled to one another. His actions against her feelings had been excruciating on her heart.
"I do it because, i feel it necessary. For reasons beyond my understanding I want to help that loser." Zaul laughed as Luna's emotions shifted rapidly into joy, she truly was different in any way imaginable.
Light managed to filter through the top of branches, as the smell of the decaying earth and leaves filtered through Zaul's nose. Every chirp and walking creature caused Zaul's ears to twitch. The dense woods had been bursting with life today.
