Where Aaron wonders why the new student always looks straight and must hold someone.

Aaron's POV

So right now, my teacher Mrs Murphy has told us that we were having a new student in our class. I was looking forward to meeting the new student because we rarely have new students here at Fischer College.

I really wanted to meet him.

I raised my hand up to get Mrs Murphy's attention. She notices me and points to my direction.

"Yes Aaron?" She asked.

"When does the new student start our class?" I asked while everyone in the class murmured in agreement until we heard a knock coming from the class door. We all turned in our spots while we watched our teacher open our class door, to reveal Principal Harris and a boy linking his arms.

Why is his arms around the principal's arm?

"Hello Mrs Murphy, this is your new student Dillon Ruppert. He moved from Indiana to start a new life here since he was bullied back in his hometown." He replied clearly while the boy, who I now know is Dillon, was staring straight ahead at the poetry we had to write last week.

Why is he like that?

That was when I noticed that both teachers were only whispering to each other that didn't just catch my attention, but nearly the whole class's attention as well.

My best friend, Hayes Grier, sat beside me and whispered into my ear, "What do you think is wrong with him?" I just shrugged as a response.

"Maybe he likes to link onto people's arms," I replied vaguely while Hayes's eyebrows scrunched up.

"Maybe it could be just old people because he is linking onto Mrs Murphy's arm right now," Hayes told me while I turned around to see that Hayes was right.

Dillon linked onto Mrs Murphy's arm while they walked in and the principal closed the door of our classroom. I started to feel like that this boy is hiding something. I don't know what, but it is something.

"Alright class, meet Dillon Rupp. He moved from Indiana because of the bullying so please treat the boy with respect." Our teacher said while she pointed to me.

"Aaron, since you were so eager to meet our new student why don't you come up here and take his arm please? Dillon here can explain why he needs you to link his up to yours when he is ready and he can sit with you if you don't mind?" the teacher added while all eyes were on both the boy in front of me and, well, me.I get up out of my seat and made my way to the boy who was about ten feet away before I stood beside him and linked my arm around his.

"Thank you. You must Aaron, am I right?" He asked while I hummed in agreement. The eyes continued to stare at both of us, until our teacher snapped everyone's gazes away from us.

"Class, get into your textbooks and go to page 147 to answer about what kind of rhyming pattern they are. Dillon, since you are new, you won't getting your book soon okay?" I heard Dillon say an 'OK' before I grabbed a seat for him while I went to sit down. I noticed that he didn't move so I told him that he can sit down.

Once he heard my instruction, he sat down besides me and stared straight ahead. He placed his arms up on the desk while he felt around him to find something, probably his bag or a pen. I decided to just rip a piece of paper out of my refill paper and gave it to the boy and a pen to go with it.
As soon as he heard my pen hit the table, he just looked at where the sound came from. I just looked at him as if he was stupid.
