Chapter 4

Joey Amims

(Jake's pov)

Me and my friends make it to our hangout spot in the little field in the middle of the woods near the town. We just sat there chatting and doing some work while i sketched in my sketch pad. We've made this our spot since we found it and thank god no one knows but us cause we enjoy this silence.

"Hey Jake u listening?" I heard Amber say as i come back to earth

"Uh what sorry i was in deep thought"

"Ehh its ok. I was just wondering if you would like to go to the movies right now?" She asked cheerfully

I think back to Tyler and the hallway incident "sure why not it'll be fun"

She hops up in joy as she pulls me along with her and Joey following us "yay great lets go"

"Yea c'mon we can buy the tickets there to see Jurassic World " Joey said from behind us as i dropped my sketch book and he picked it up.

"That's a great idea Joey" Amber said enthusiastically as i was still being pulled to the theater

The movie wasn't that bad Chris Pratt was pretty cute actually. Bit i was kinda distracted because my brother and hus friends were sitting two rows behind us and Tyler kept throwing popcorn at my head.

"I swear Tyler gets on my nerves why did i even like that cocky douche" i say to my friends as we walk home

"Well have tou seen him im pretty sure the whole school has a crush on him but only few get to see his real self " Amber comforts me as i start getting agitated.

"Ehh i guess i mean hes not Mr perfect" Joey says with a bit of anger towards what Amber said.

"Ok guys i get it its simple to have a crush on him" i say trying to break the tension between the two.

"Hey Jake who is this guy you keep drawing in your sketch book" Joey says as he flips through the pages

"Honestly i don't know hes been in my head for a while now i think of him as the mystery boy" i say as i snatch my book back from Joey and we walk back to my house to chill.
