"Your turn" hollers the tall, dark-skinned boy, who can't be much older than me but already has Power, pointing to The Tree. Gratefully, I suck in the air, my lungs jumping for joy, and my body relaxing. " Thank you" I beam at the boy, who just utters " Your turn" to the elderly man behind me. I walk back to the end of the line and start my task of sewing seeds for more Trees. Hopefully, it'll be easier to Breathe in the future.
After an hour, my arms begin to ache and my hands are ridden with soil, but in the midst of pain I think about how much easier it will be to Breathe soon, I do hope the Trees grow quickly. This is for Society , I remind myself, "Your pain will pay off " said the Leader, millions of times. I can only hope that I will have Power when I'm older, but given my status, will that ever happen? Could I be happy? Or love someone? Those emotions are reserved for dreams. And those with Power.
I am speedily jerked from my reverie by a sharp kick to my stomach, from a fierce, female General shouting through her Breathing mask " Get back to work!" I retch from the kick but remind myself, she has Power she can do anything. Still I stare up at her mask, even I don't dream about being able to Breathe all the time.  I force myself to the task at hand as I see a vicious-looking General approaching me, I still wince from the pain of being kicked and I don't want it to happen again. " Time to move along, Cassia Reyes" booms the General "Yes , Sir" I say bowing beneath him, acknowledging his Power. I begin my next job of watering seeds with a specialised can, when I spot Water coming , in the sleek form of a hover car. I continue working hard as only the most dedicated workers get Water, although people with Power guzzle it by the litre. Luckily, it stops right next to me and gives Mia Black a drink and then Tobias Crawford. To my amazement, it even gives me a drink and I slurp down the scrumptious liquid , enjoying it's coolness and flavour. The girl on the hover car then reminds me to continue and I nod , obligingly.
