"tired of try...sick of crying...yeah I'm smiling...but inside I'm dying"

When lunch came around that day, Celeste and Clarabelle went together. They had had the first three classes together and Celeste was making good on her promise to her mother without even trying. Clarabelle had wormed her way into Celeste's life asking random questions throughout the morning. Nothing personal, just questions about her favorite things, what she liked to do, what Toronto was like.

"Who are your brothers?" Celeste asked her, as the walked through the cafeteria while Clarabelle ws trying to spot her brothers.

"Nolan, he's 18, its his last year, obviously. And Damon he's my adoptive brother, year younger than Nolan. He kind of turned into an arrogant jackass throughout the years though?"

Damon. Clarabelle Justice. Damon. Damon Justice!

"You mean Damon Justice?"

"Yeah. You met him?"

"Yeah, I've had the 'pleasure.'"

"Oh. Please tell me your not head over heels for him already."

"God no. I actually want to stay far from him."

Clarabelle laughed. "Well that won't be good for his ego. But if you don't mind me asking, why?"

"Why. . ?"

"Why do you want to stay away from him? What he do?" She wondered.

"Nothing really. He just. . . I just know someone like him that's all."

"Popular, good looks, gets all the girls, big ego?"

Celeste nodded. "Exactly like that."

"A complete ass."

"Yup." I said, popping the 'p'.

"So was this person really close to you or something?" She didn't know what to say. What was she supposed to say. Tell her the truth? No way. "Oh, I'm sorry, you don't have to tell me."

"Thank you."

"But if you do ever need to talk to someone, you can talk to me. Us girls got to stick together, we're helluva lot better than boys."

Celeste laughed, her bubbly personality was refreshing. "Thank you Clarabelle."

"And if he hurt you, I can kick his ass for you."

Laughing, she smiled at her new friend, "thanks, but its okay Clarabelle."

"Call me Clara, everyone does." They smiled warmly at each other "Oh! There they are. Lets go." The duo walked up to a table, where Damon, three other boys and Carson were seated.

"Hey Care-bear!" Carson yelled, when they reached the table. "See, told you, you wouldn't have any problems keeping your promise to mom."

"You two know each other?" Damon asked.

"Yeah, he's my brother." Celeste said taking a seat next to Clarabelle.

"Cool." Clarabelle said. "Okay so this is my brother Nolan, Nolan's boyfriend Flynn, our friend Logan and you were unfortunate enough to already meet Damon. And since this is your brother, I'm guessing this is Carson."

"What's so unfortunate about meeting me?" Damon asked feigning hurt.

"Have you met you?"

"Yes I have, and I happen to be quite fantastic."

"Geez. Never mind he might be worse with the whole ego thing." Celeste whispered to Clarabelle and they stifled a laugh.

Lunch went by quickly for Celeste, she spent her time talking with Logan and Clarabelle. The rest of the day went by great and then it was last class. Art, her favourite.
