Introduction

Lately, everything seems to have turned bat crap crazy. Literally. It all started a week ago, when I went on this camping trip. A bat flew into my tent and bit me. I thought I had rabies. That would've been a good thing the next morning my teeth started killing me. I was growing...fangs.
I'm turning into a-a real...vampire. I can barely say the words. I've tried everything, but I don't know how to reverse this. I'm not a full vampire yet, but I can feel myself changing every day. I don't know how much longer I have before I'm completely gone. I'm clinging to my humanity as long as possible. I just want to be normal again. If that's even possible.
Just yesterday I went to the movies with my best friend, Adriana. She's really more than a friend. After the movie we went into one of those photo booths. Everything was fine, until I went in for a kiss. She was ready, but I felt myself losing control and then my fangs popped out.
Thankfully, I pulled back before I could hurt her. Hurting her is the last thing I want to do. But after I pulled back she asked me if there was something wrong. I gave her the lamest excuse by saying I had a sore throat and I didn't want her to get sick. She accepted it, but I could tell she felt a little rejected.
I'm not really sure how to tell her that I'm a blood-sucking freak. That I'm gonna live forever, too bad for her. It's not something I can just bring up in conversation. I know I'll have to tell her soon. I can't avoid her for too long or I'll end up losing the only girl I've ever loved.
