Chapter 5 (Drew's POV)

Chapter 5 

Drew

I sat back and watched as Lucas took Adriana by the hand and walked out of ear shot. The girls and I waited impatiently for Lucas to kiss her. When he finally made his move, I could see he was about to bite her.

The idiot pulled back! What a disappointment. Well now I had to go do damage control and get the kid out of there.

I made my way over to him and swung my arm over his shoulder.

"Hey, don't let this stop you kid. Let me introduce you to my ladies." My ladies were basically my blood bound entourage. Each of them were special to me, but Luna was my favorite.

I introduced each girl from last to first. Number 7 was Amber, a skinny girl with short, brown curls a few inches above her shoulders. I found her after a bad storm came and she lost her family.

Number 6, Brittany, a beautiful blonde with pink streaks in her straight hair, pulled back in a messy bun. She was a gorgeous model when I found her in a dark ally being attacked by some street filth. I killed her attackers and took her with me.

Number 5, Celeste, a perfectly figured girl with jet black hair cut in a bob. She was an orphan that ran away from the orphanage after she turned 16. She was hiding out in a grungy motel where she was willing to sell her body for food. I offered her a better life with me.

Number 4 was Zoey, a slightly thicker girl with shoulder length, straight brown hair teased up on top of her head with blue streaks in it. She was very drunk after a graduation party and almost got raped by a school mate of hers. I took his life and brought Zoey back with me.

Number 3, Selena, was a smooth mocha colored girl with fluffed up black hair in a messy up dew. She was a victim of parental abuse. One night her dad hit her too hard and she became unconscious. I broke in and drained her parents. Then I carried her back to my castle.

Number 2 was Hannah, an average height girl with long, curly orange hair similar to a flame. She was a master marks woman and was out hunting one day. She was being stalked by a mountain lion, but luckily for her I snapped its neck before it pounced on her. Then she came home with me.

And of course, my number 1, Luna. She was my favorite of the girls. The red streaks in her long, black wavy hair matched her full red lips. Her house was on fire and both her and her patents were trapped inside. I saved them all from the fire, but her parents were still unconscious when I took Luna with me. She wasn't happy at first, but once she knew her parents were okay, she accepted her new life.

"Luna is my number one." I wrapped my arm around her waist and kissed her gently, then she playfully nipped at me with her fangs.

I decided to help Lucas loosen up a bit. "Girls, why don't you show Lucas a good time." I winked at them and watched as they dragged him to the dance floor and closed him in.

I laughed to myself as I followed the scent of Adriana. I found her on a seat alone to the point of tears. I sat next to her and put my arm around her.

"What's a beautiful girl like you doing all by yourself, crying?"

She sniffled a little and looked at me with a sad expression. "Lucas won't kiss me. I know he likes me, but he won't even kiss me." She slumped in the chair with a look of defeat.

I stood up and offered my hand to her. "Would you care to dance?" She looked a little unsure. I gave her a comforting smile and said "It's only a dance."

With those words she smiled back and took my hand. I guided her to the dance floor and began swaying with her to the music. She looked like she was thinking about something so I asked "are you okay?"

"Not really. I just don't understand why Lucas keeps holding back."

I wrapped my arms around her and sighed. "Don't worry about Lucas so much. Just loosen up and put him out of your mind. That'll make you feel better."

She looked a little sad for a moment and then closed her eyes. Her lips curved into a half-smile and I felt her relax.

She smelled so good, I could hardly contain myself. She was so pure and sweet and full of innocence. I gently moved the hair away from her neck and leaned her head back. I carefully bent down and then I tasted her blood.

It was so much sweeter than I imagined. Seconds had barley passed when I felt myself being thrown off of Adriana. I looked to see who it was and saw Lucas for a second before he punched me in the mouth, knocking me to the ground.

I heard all my ladies gasping and running over to me. Several helped me up while I held my jaw. Lucas was holding Adriana and checking her neck to see if she was okay.

She looked nervous and freaked out. "What's going on?" Lucas looked at her neck seeing small fang marks. "It was only a nick." That seemed to make Adriana even more nervous. "A nick?! What do you mean a nick?!" He quickly gave her a reassuring look. "I mean, I got here in the nick of time."

I walked over to them feeling my soar fang throb in my mouth. "Hey, you chipped my fang!" I yelled at Lucas.

"You are so low. Don't touch her ever again!" He was pissed off. And very protective of Adriana too.

Luna stood at my side and looked at Adriana and then back to me in anger. "Oh so she's the pretty one now?"

"Luna, baby! You're still my number one!"

"And what about me?" 

"And me?" I heard Celeste and Hannah chime in.

"You're all still very important to me!" I was trying to save my butt the best I could. I turned back to Lucas with a more relaxed look and smiled saying "Vampires. Can't live with 'em, can't...kill 'em."

He looked at me with an 'are-you-serious' kind of expression. Then I went back up to Adriana and said "I will see you later." I smiled as I walked back to my ladies. "Remember kid! You're still the bite!" I called back to Lucas as we walked away.

Before we left the club, I saw Lucas finally kiss the dang girl. They looked happy and in love. I smiled to myself and I thought about how much fun splitting them up was going to be.

Here's chapter 5! Hope you guys enjoy it! I tried to give a little background for each of Drew's ladies, but I'll be focusing more on Luna in the chapters to come. I'm writing daily and trying to update every day! Please vote and comment!!! <3 <3 <3
