Chapter . Fourteen

I was reading facts about wolves from the Oaks view library and comparing the notes to the schools library, my mind was wondering about the rest of the note that I found. 

But who could I trust to share these notes about with, I saw Natalia and made my way over to her. If there is an expert and happens to share a common interest about books, wolves and about the town it would have to be her.

"Hey", I said,

"Oh, hey there stranger, long time", she chuckled,

"I have a few things I want to ask you about this book from our school's library, have you seen it before",

I pulled it out of my bag and showed her, she looked at it and started to read the back of it.

"Oh, yeah, that book is pretty legit, it's weird how that's the only copy, I swear our towns library tends to get updated versions of books way quicker than our schools library, especially books regarding the non-fiction aspect",

"What if I wanna know more...you know for research", I asked.

"Well, you will have to go to the main schools library for that, oh and congrats by the way I heard you are a part of the schools new paper group, sorry last time they were chasing up aliens, so now I'm suspecting they are now focusing on crime." ,

Well yes that, but I'm looking at the specifics, more or less research for my schools project",

"And the personal approach regarding your mum", 

"Swing by here after school, we can both go to the library and have a look at any documentation regarding, not wolves", she squinted her eyes,

"Yes", I copied her reaction,

"Only if you don't have plans",

"Great, I will see you here", I replied.

The bell rang and it was next period to our next class. 

When class finished Daisy and Stacey were both waiting for me outside of my class, I made my way to them and told them where I was going, so they decided it was safer to tag along. Luckily their shift for work didn't start till a bit later, Spencer was gone to hockey. 

My cousin was still trying to get me to join in cheerleading, I thought about it. But if I did, would I have time to cater to other things. Anyway, that was a thought for later.

We met Natalia by the same spot and she took us to her car, the ride there was quiet and as soon as we arrived. My cousin and her friend were asking us questions while Natalia and I both quietly searched around for notes.

It was almost time for us to get going, "Damn, I really thought the library would of had something for you, especially about the whole not wolf thing", she smiled,

"You and me both", I replied,

Natalia, without a second thought offered us all a ride there to the cafe, the girls and I offered her a free meal of her choice for her kindness. 

I was with Natalia sharing a meal with her, while my cousin and Stacey started working. Spencer turned up just in time for work. Luckily, there is a small toilet with a shower so it helped out with extra activities or quickly getting ready worth it.

I was twiddling my thumbs, any information that was useful wouldn't be helpful from the Oaks View library but that does rule that out...I will have to find my information somewhere else. Perhaps...

"Hey maybe we can ask the right people for information about the not wolf thing, like perhaps starting with your aunty and her family. I reckon they probably know more than they let on...or maybe Spencer and his podcast group might know more. They even have a podcast, if you play your cards right, someone outside of the group could help out. Oh which reminds me...",

"Hey Bear, yeah you",

Spencer was pointing to himself,

"Your podcast group has a position available for catalogues, I have experience and honestly I work at the towns library thanks to my mum",

"Also I hate my club so anything to get out of debate team, what do you say champ?",

"I'll let you know if you get the role?", he replied.

"Sweet see you Thursday", she replied,

"Anyway Lili I have to go, otherwise my mum will be wondering where I am, my mum is the main librarian at Oaks View library",

"See you", she smiled and leaving.

"See you", I replied.

"Wow, I had no idea her mum is dating our clubs teacher, it makes sense", he said.

"What does?", I said looking at him,

"How she dresses", he blushed

"Anyway can we talk after this its kind of important, I understand if you can't-",

"Yeah, sure about what?",

"About that incident, I thought maybe we should at least mention it to someone",

"Yeah okay", with that he left to work. I started journalling and time went by quite quickly. My aunty stayed back with one of the other workers all three of them seemed like they had things under control.

Daisy, Stacey and I took a ride with Spencer, who we mentioned to them what had happened. They both couldn't believe what we had told them. Stacey refused to ever let me do the bins from now on and said we will roster for two people to do the bins no matter what. 

As we arrived to the house, Kylo was waiting inside, her excited figure was jumping up and down, and her barking could be heard from the vehicle. 

"Well ladies have a good night, see you all at school", Spencer said,

"Thanks Spence", said Daisy,

"Oh, don't forget to get some rest Spencey",

"Good night", I said, closing the door.

"Good night city girl", he said after me.

When he left, Kylo started giving us slobbery kisses, as we made our way inside. I felt my body give way to sleep, Kylo was close to me as she made herself at home on my bed. This became our daily routine, after I brushed my teeth, hair and cleaned my face and was ready in my pj's she was just as excited to get into bed as me.

"Goodnight girl", I motioned for her as I patted her head and fell asleep.
