Chapter . Sixteen

I came by the cafe to get ready for work, Spencer would join me in his tutoring once he finished his practice. Daisy and Stacey were busy at their cheer practice, but my Aunt Kera needed extra help as tonight might be a bit busier.

As I was just finishing off one of the orders, I went to a table and found myself with an annoyed Roze. I breathed before getting ready to take their order, she was with a group of friends including Spencers sister.

I hadn't seen them the last time was when they picked Spencer up.

"Hello, welcome to Stu's cafe could I take your order please?", I said.

"We're busy right now, come back later" replied Roze,

"Okay, I can come back",

"We didn't ask for your comment", she replied.

I nodded and smiled as I went to turn around, I fell over from someone tripping me up.

"Jeez, can we get someone else over here please, this waitress is terrible",

I could feel the sting of tears, breathing,

"Is something the matter, can I help you?", my Aunt Kera came over, she helped me up.

"Nothing", I said,

"Yeah there is, you owe me and Avina an apology and also keep your stupid niece away from the tables, she could barely take a joke",

"Roze that is quite enough, I don't want you anywhere near my niece you can leave-",

Just as my aunty continued talking, Roze was about to storm off and Spencer came in. 

"Hey Spencer tell your stupid girlfriend to stay the hell away from me, if she knows whats good for her", then she stormed off. A few of her friends left after her and Avina stood by the door that Spencer was near and told him something only they could hear, then left.

"Kera can I have the day off today", he said, she nodded and then with that he left.

(A few hours later)

Daisy and Stacey had joined us they were both in the back clearing the dishes, I was out front cleaning the the tables and putting the chairs up. Then a loud bang came, I went to get ready to lock the door. When a bloodied hand came up by the door and a loud scream...it was a girl, the girl was Avina.

I opened the door and pulled her in, not looking at the bloodied mess she and I were now in. 

"Help !",  I screamed.

Daisy was holding onto me as we were both at the hospital, Stacey was holding onto her boyfriend, all three of us were still in our maids outfits. My Aunt Kera left the chef  to close up the store while we came to the hospital with Avina.

A few minutes later Spencer arrived with Roze and his mum, Roze stormed straight up to me as she saw me.

"This is all your fault city girl !", she was about to hit me, then Daisy pulled me to the side yelling at her.

"She helped her you moron, if it wasn't for my cousin she wouldn't be getting the help she needs",

Roze then stormed off.

"Where the hell are you going?", his mum called after her.

"Anywhere, whenever she's around trouble follows just ask how her mum died",

"She didn't mean that Lil's" my cousin reassured me.

"I just need to use the bathroom", I said quietly,

"I'll come with you", she replied.

"Stacey please let my mum know that we just went to the bathroom and also Spencer, my mum is with the doctor right now, she's doing well last we checked they said she can have visitors but we said we'd wait for her family to come", 

"Thanks Daisy",

"Don't mention it",

We were both in the bathroom, I had to hold back any tears that were fighting to be released. Daisy started prep talking me out of what Roze had said and said she will never change but that doesn't mean we had to let that get the better of us. I felt much happier from her saying this to me, and I couldn't help but sob, my cousin and I were both hugging while our faces were wet with tears and she started helping me get rid of the blood on my arms.

"I think you need a new uniform", she chuckled.

"I couldn't agree more",

"I love when you talk, it shows me you are seen and heard. I want you to know you are safe with us cousin, we care about you", she said pulling me into a side hug.

Then we were interrupted by another person coming into the bathroom. It was Stacey her looked us over from where she was standing and then rushed over to us and sobbing loudly while giving us both a hug.

"Hey your boyfriend will be wondering where you are",

"Stuff him, my girls need me ", she cried on us.

We were all laughing and a moment later we were tidied up. Stacey bought our clothes so we changed out of them, Daisy threw my dress away. And we all waited for the news. My Aunt Kera came back to us and filled us in on what happened, so we left while Spencer and his family were together.

(At school current)

I hadn't seen Spencer for a few days now, even at the cafe we hadn't seen him. Until today, I saw him at lunch sitting by himself. The news letter came out and I saw his blurb about me 

"She is fair like warrior, is she real of course, the words are true flowers that bloom in adversity are the most beautiful of all", I smiled at this, a warm feeling covered my chest was that normal?

I also read another blurb "Here is your twenty words, one two three etc",

I saw Spencer and called after him, he couldn't hear me so I started to follow after him. But I bumped into...Lyde again. 

"We need to talk", he said, grabbing hold of my arm,

I yanked my arm away from him, but he took me somewhere that I hadn't seen before. 

"Wow, this is beautiful",

"You are too", he replied,

"I needed to just let you know that I finished my part of our assignment, can we meet up sometime?", 

"Yeah", the view he was showing me was ...so enchanting.
