I'm dedicating this to thesamemistakes since her triology is the best thing ever, I took a break from it now I reached the last book because I don't want to end and wait for parts hehehe. Loved the two other books though, they really were well written.
I entered the room I haven't been in for months, or even years. I couldn't remember the last time I entered this room. Probably around the time I entered college. I had never been able to enter this house and relive the memories.
I closed my eyes as I turned the doorknob of the wide wooden door. Simply white when you stood in front of it, once you opened it, you opened a wonderland. I felt relieved. Relieved my parents still didn't take away my furniture, or the clothes and pictures and files I left here. Everything was right like I could remember it. I picked up one of his jackets that was piled up at the end of my bed and shrugged it on. It was crazy how after all this time it still smells like him, even if I had forgot how it was, I could pick his smell out of millions. I opened my windowdoors and stepped upon the small balcony my father and his team had built me years ago, just like they had built the balcony at Leons room. The perks of having a contractor as dad.
I curled my fingers round the edges and stared right in front of me, his curtains were open yet I knew nobody was home. Nobody could be home. But everything had stayed the same, like nothing in our life had changed, both our rooms didn't either. Just like me, both our rooms hold onto the memories.
I zipped the jacket up and by that action an old picture fell from one of the pockets. We were barely reconizable, but I knew it was one of the first ones in our relationship, a few days after my birthday, the last day before school started again. It was in front of my house, both of our bodies splattered with paint. Just like I had introduced myself, 4 years earlier.
