Triple Cheese Pizza-Emily's POV-
"I'm up, I'm up." I say groggily while rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
I slept so terribly last night. I had this horrible nightmare that I found my family dead, on the couch holding hands, all having shot themselves in the head. It was so surreal. There was a note too, but I was so angered at them for leaving me alone in the world that I never read it, only crumpled it up and stuffed it in my pocket.
I hastily reach into my pocket thinking the dream could've been real. My hand freezes as it comes in contact with a crumpled piece of paper. I pull it out of my pocket and sloppily unfold it, my hands trembling.
'Call me' is written of the paper followed by seven numbers. I almost laugh at how stupid I was to forget why this paper was in my pocket.
As I was walking over to Ava's house a familiar guy casually walked by me. He shoved the crumpled piece of paper in my hand. After I opened it up I placed it in my pocket and must've forgot to throw it out when I got to Ava's place.
"What's that?" Ava asks me, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Just some douche's phone number. He actually thinks I'm gonna phone him after he creepily shoved this paper in my hand." I explain and Ava bursts out laughing.
"Oh my god! He did it to me too!" She exclaims then reaches into her purse pulling out an identical piece of paper.
I shake my head at how desperate guys can be nowadays.
We head into the kitchen to make breakfast for ourselves and for Jayce to eat once he wakes up. Ava turns on the radio in the corner and sets it to a low volume while I look through the pantry.
I see peanut butter and jelly then grab them off the shelf.
"Peanut butter and jelly sandwich?" I ask Ava, she nods in agreement while leaning up against the counter.
I spread the peanut butter onto a slice of bread before doing the same to another piece of bread except with jam. I place the two pieces on top of each other then cut the sandwich into four. After setting my delicious creation on a plate for Jayce to eat when he wakes up, I start to make two more for Ava and I.
"Oh I almost forgot!" Ava blurts as she pops up beside me.
"Forget what?" I question while continuing to make the sandwiches.
"Last night while you were asleep I was so bored!" She starts.
"I decided to go on YouTube," she pauses dramatically,"You won't believe what I saw!"
"What was it?" I urge, genuinely interested.
"Carly Rae Jepson's song 'I Really Like You' is on the popular page!" She reveals with a horrified look on her face.
I shake my head and quietly laugh at how disgusted Ava looks. "You know Tom Hanks is in the music video, that might be just a little bit of the reason it's so popular." She shrugs off my teasing remark before she starts talking again.
"There were also all these videos titled 'Zombies attack', 'Apocalypse Is Happening', 'We're All Gonna Die', get my gist?" She tells me and I nod, taking everything in.
"So I watched one of the videos and it shows this guy our age completely terrified and to top it off his house is fully surrounded by the victims of 5KT12." Ava adds and I can't help but feel scared for the poor guy.
