The CID Bureau: Mumbai

The bullpen was a hive of low-frequency anxiety. ACP Pradyuman stood by the main map, his hands behind his back. Abhijeet was monitoring the Zenith's external feeds after comin from there, while Freddy, Purvi, and Pankaj were glued to their workstations.

"Pankaj! Any word from the street?" the ACP barked, the silence of the informers bothering him.

"Nothing yet, Sir," Pankaj replied, his headset slightly askew. "Dhechu's boys are digging in Delhi, but the local Mumbai informers are unusually quiet. It's like the whole underworld has gone into hiding."

"That's what worries me, Abhijeet," the ACP said, turning to his deputy. "The silence before a storm. If no one is talking, it means the 'Boss' has put a price on anyone who opens their mouth. Any update on the Mehra-Malhotra business rivals?"

"Purvi is cross-checking the latest offshore transfers, Sir," Abhijeet noted. "But with NK and Sanjana in Delhi, we're missing our primary link to the data."

The phone on the ACP's desk buzzed—a secure line from the Zenith. It was Karan.

"Sir, the families are getting restless. Mukti Mehra is demanding a shopping trip and a visit to the mansion for 'personal essentials,'" Karan reported. "I've told them I'll check with NK, but I need the Bureau's take. Do we have enough men to secure a mobile perimeter tomorrow?"

The ACP's eyes narrowed. "A shopping trip? In the middle of a Level 4 threat? They don't realize they're being hunted for their blood, Karan. Tell them to wait. I'll speak to NK when she finish meeting."

Delhi , 7.PM

After Stepping out of the high-stakes RAW vault, the adrenaline was still humming in NK's veins as she leaned her head against a cold marble pillar. Behind her, Sanjana's thumbs flew across her tablet, checking the Zenith feed. A sharp gasp escaped her.

"NK... the Mehra and Malhotra families," Sanjana whispered, her voice trembling with a mix of fury and disbelief. "It's like they have a death wish. They seriously want to die."

NK opened her eyes for a second ,her gaze sharp and devoid of sympathy then lean back to close her eyes back.

"Then grant their wish," she snapped, her voice dropping to a dangerous, low velvet. "Maybe after that, I can finally breathe peacefully."

Sanjana looked up, a grim smirk playing on her lips. "I wish I could do that, NK, but ACP sir wouldn't like it. But seriously... this time they've crossed the limit. They are completely out of their minds."

NK didn't open her eyes, her face a mask of iron-cold focus. "Now what did they do, Sanju? I am exhausted by this immature behavior. For God's sake, can't they give us a single moment of peace? What do they think we are—robots? They behave recklessly and expect us to just sweep up the glass."

"NK, look at this," Sanjana said, thrusting the tablet forward.

As NK see the evening video and then listening mukti and others demand, her blood began to boil like lava.

"Are they even in their right minds, or are they high?" she hissed running a hand through her long, dark hair as her face settled into a mask of iron-cold focus.

She snatched her phone and dialed Karan's number, but the line was busy. Without missing a beat, she patched a high-priority line through to the ACP.

"NK? Good timing. Karan just called me," the ACP's voice crackled through, sounding harassed.
