Rythian’s POV

That night after she left I had burst into tears. She had been my first friend. She had been right about everything she had said the night before and I myself for what I had done. I had hurt her, I had promised myself I would never do it, but I had. I held the book I had taken from her that horrible night to my chest.

I had taken it from her out of worry. I didn’t want her to end up like me. I didn’t want her to die the same death my parents had. Science at first was something I put up with. Now I didn’t want anything to do with it at all.  All it brought me was pain. First it killed my parents, then turned me into a monster, and then it had stolen my friend right under my nose. After that night I only had Zoey. Without her I would have seen no reason to continue.

That night I had left the house of bad memories. I built a terrifying mage tower out of nether brick. I thought no one would able to stop me. I had isolated myself from everyone. I couldn’t hurt anyone else. I couldn’t let anyone go through what he had put Molly through.

Molly’s POV:

Pushing the bad memories away I continued with my journey. After that day I had lived on my own until the explosion destroyed the last world. Now I was still on my own in the new world. I liked it this way.  This way no one could forget me. No one could cause the pain he had given me. I only had to worry about my own well-being. Wiping the tears from my misty eyes I continued on my journey.

After a few hours of searching I found a large castle made out of stone brick. The tower was surrounded by a hazy blue force field, but upon closer inspection I spotted a small wooden house. It appeared to have been abandoned a while ago.

I slowly crept towards it, on the lookout for the others that inhabited this world. I cleared the distance in a short amount of time and warily pushed the door open. I took in the small wooden house with a small smile etched on my lips. Stepping on the dusty green carpet I knew that this building hadn’t been touched for a while.

“Perfect,” I said, smiling to myself. Opening a chest I found a few leftover supplies. Slipping out an almost broken bow I pulled out an arrow and aimed at the wall. I let the arrow fly and watched as it speared the wall. I brought the bow to my side and retrieved the arrow, my smile growing. I knew that this was going to be my new home, and maybe one night I could check out the empty looking castle.

After a few weeks…

Molly’s POV

I was going to do it. I had tons of gear and no one had noticed me yet. I was going to try and explore the castle. I had been preparing for this risky exploration for the few weeks I had been here and now that night had fallen I was going to go see what the person who built the castle had been doing.

I had only seen one light go on and off and it was rare that it did. I slowly opened the door to the house I had been taking residence in and stepped into the cool night air. I carefully avoided the monsters and made my way to the massive structure.

I had lost my flying ring in the time I called “The transfer” and now spent most of my time with forestry and basic science stuff instead of magic. This however caused a dilemma. I couldn’t just fly up there. I had to dig through the wall. After a few swings of my diamond pick I was through and free to explore.  Most of the castle rooms held machines broken by the transfer, but eventually I found one peculiar room.

The room held many crystal chests and a few machines. The odd thing was not these items though, the strange thing was the blue glowing portal that slightly resembled the one that took me into this world. This one wasn’t sucking me in though. It gave me the choice to step in or walk away.

Curiosity overcame my worries and I found myself walking towards it. When I reached it I squeezed my eyes shut and stepped through. As I went through I could feel the ground momentarily disappear leaving me floating. It returned as soon as it had disappeared, but this time it felt different.

I slowly opened my eyes and, to my disappointment, saw that I was still in the cursed dimension. I frowned and turned around. I saw another portal that looked the same as the one before except this one was orange.

I backed away from this one, not wanting to go through that again and spun on my heels. I saw a door and cautiously began walking towards it. I put my ear up to the cold wood and, upon hearing no noise, quietly pushed it open. My eyes widened when I saw the many magical items.

I felt a smile creep onto my lips and I crept towards the jars. They were all labeled and had liquids in them. I walked the isles for a while, reading the names of the liquids until I heard something that made me stop in my tracks.

“Who are you,” I heard a male voice ask. I whipped around to see a confused man staring at me. He had messy blond hair with goggles perched on his head and  bright emerald green eyes. He wore a pristine white lab coat and was pointing a charged power glove at me. “I-I’m Molly,” I managed to say through the fear that clutched my heart.
