Your Perspective

Today is the day we present our projects it should be fun considering i am going to put a little spiff in it. thank god i am going to be part of it i am just going to show and read. The whole class shuffles into the room and gets into their seats. We all stay quiet and wait for Derek to call us up to preform out experiments.

" Scott and Allison will you please come up and present your presentation?" He asks. They get up and go to the front of the room.

" what is your project on?" Derek asks.

" uhm we are going to demonstrate how to make a cloud form in a bottle" Scott replies. I roll my eyes they pick something easy that goes along with water vapor. Did i mention that i have the highest grade through out the whole state for chemistry, i know our project sounds lame but with the spiff it will be juts perfect and no one will care except for a couple people the others will think the obvious.

" Carry on" Derek bluntly says.

" Ok well clouds form when water vapor forms tiny visible droplets. This results from cooling the vapor. It helps to provide particles around which the water can liquefy. in our project we will use smoke to help us form a cloud.

Our project consist of a 1 liter plastic bottle,  warm water, and a match. So what Scott is going to do is pour just enough warm water in the bottle to cover the bottom of it. Then he is going to carefully light a match and place the match head inside the bottle. He is now going to let the bottle fill with smoke. Then I'm going to put the cap on the bottle. Then our last step Scott is going to squeeze the bottle really hard a few times. When he releases the bottle, you can see the cloud form." They did there demonstration really good but like i said mine is going to be 20 times better than every ones in here combined. " Now a real cloud forms when molecules of water vapor bounce around like molecules of other gases unless you give them a reason to stick together. Cooling the vapor slows the molecules down. so they have less kinetic energy and more time to interact with each other. How do you cool the vapor you might ask? When we squeezed the bottle, you compress the gas and increase it's temperature. Releasing the container lets the gas expand, which causes it's temperature to go down. Real clouds form as warm air rises. As air gets higher, it's pressure is reduced. The air expands, which causes it to cool. As it cools below the dew point, water vapor forms droplets we see as clouds. Smoke acts the same in the atmosphere as it does in the bottle. Other nucleation particles include dust, pollution, dirt, and even bacteria." Allison explained. Might i say quite well.

" well done please take a seat. Stiles and Erica please come up and present your project" Derek replied. Stiles and Erica get up in the front of the class. " what is your project on?" he asks.

" Black snakes" Erica replied. Derek nodded his head and she continued. " Black snakes, sometimes called glow worms, are small tablets that you light, using a punk or a lighter, that bur to produce long black ' snakes ' of ash. They produce some smoke ( which had a characteristic, probably toxic odor ), but no fire or explosion. The original fireworks used to contain salts of a heavy metal ( such as mercury ), so while they were marketed for kids to play with, they really weren't that much safer than conventional fireworks, just dangerous in a different way. However, we are going to show you a safe way to make black snakes. We are going to heat baking soda ( sodium bicarbonate ) with sugar to produce carbon dioxide gas that puffs black carbon ash. So what we have here is sand, fuel oil, baking soda, and sugar. So now Stiles is going to mix 4 parts powdered sugar with 1 part baking soda, now he is going to make a mound with Sand and push a depression into the middle of the sand, then he i going to pour the fuel oil into the sand to wet it, he is also going to pour the sugar and soda mixture into the depression, then ignite the mound, using a lighter. And there you have it black snakes. How this works is the sugar and baking soda snake proceeds according to the following chemical reactions, where sodium bicarbonate breaks down into sodium carbonate, water vapor, and carbon dioxide gas while burning sugar in oxygen produces water vapor and carbon dioxide gas. The snake is carbonate with black carbon particles 2 NaHCO3 → Na2CO3 + H2O + CO2

C2H5OH + 3 O2 → 2 CO2 + 3 H2O" Erica explains. Easy stuff i did this in 5 grade big whoop! i mean for Stiles this is a big achievement because he actually looked like he knew what she was talking bout. " bravo now Jazmine and Issac" we went up to the front of the room and i smiled evilly " what is your project?" Derek asked

" We are going to bend water with static elctricity" i stated and he nodded his head. "When two objects are rubbed against each other, some of the electrons from one object jump to the other. The object that gains electrons becomes more negatively charged; the one that loses electrons becomes more positively charged. The opposite charges attract each other in a way that you can actually see.

One way to collect charge is to comb your hair with a nylon comb or rub it with a balloon. The comb or balloon will become attracted to your hair, while the strands of your hair (all the same charge) repel each other. The comb or balloon will also attract a stream of water, which carries an electrical charge. First i am going to comb issac's dry hair with this comb, now i am going to turn on the tap so that a narrow stream of water is flowing, now i am going to move the teeth of the comb close to the water but not in it. As you can see as i approach the water the stream is beginning to bend toward the comb. This experiment will work better when the humidity is low. When humidity is high, the water vapor catches some of the electrons that would jump between objects. For the same reason, your hair needs to be completely dry when you comb it if not then this happens" I wet Issac;s hair and he hollered  ( wolf's bane ) and ran out of the room. " well that's weird anyway what would've happened is nothing " i walked back to my sit smiling while Derek looked confused scared angry and impressed. that was my little spiff cool huh? Wolf's bane doesn't affect me but it does with Issac, Derek, Boyd, Scott, Erica and all the other normal werewolves.

    The rest of the day went by fast and i felt proud of myself.

Me and Stiles enter the house, and go up to his room, and sit on his bed.

" would you like to explain what you did earlier?" Stiles asked me.

" oh i out wolf's bane in the water to burn him impressive huh?" i said elbowing Stiles who just looked at me with hunger. " Stiles?" he lunged at me and kissed me i kissed him back and things got heated. The door opened and in came Jon we immediately stopped and went bright red me and Stiles kept apologizing but he just shook his head, laughed, and walked out. Stiles went down stairs to talk to him while i stayed up here and did homework.

Stiles Perspective

" Dad?!' i screamed i soon found him in the kitchen sitting at the table with a sandwich. I walked over to him and sat down " dad i am so sorry i didn't know you were home and it will never happen again" i said looking at him.

" Stiles i don't care you 2 are dating and your happy i just went up there to ask you if you wanted to invite Jazmine to my sister's wedding" he replied

" uhm yeah sure if it's okay" i said totally shocked that he didn't care and after what just happened he wanted to know if i want to bring jazmine to a wedding.

" ok well it tomorrow so go tell her and make sure its purple and black those are the colors" he shouted because i was already half way up the stairs. I opened Jazmine's door and saw here doing homework. Pages were scattered everywhere and some were crumpled up.

" hey can i ask you something?" her head shot up and she looked releived to get a break from doing our homework.

" yeah sure" she replied

" well my dad's sister is having a wedding and if you want you can come do yo want to?" i asked her and her face lit up. She quickly stuffed every paper into both of out book bags and ran to her closet

" when is it " she asked

" tomorrow and make sure its black and purple those are the colors" i told her then grabbed my bag kissed her and left her to find an outfit for tomorrow. I cant wait to see her.
