The next day at the college, after the lecture, I was sitting in the canteen, deciding upon what to eat. Since I was so hungry, my mind was stuck over the thought that I should eat all the snacks and food present there. Well, that thought was unnecessary. You can't help it. When you are in a deep hunger, you usually get those thoughts, snatching away the plates from the others' tables, owning them as your food, trying to take maximum of them during the distribution and wanting the delicious food never to vanish from your plates in one go. As I told you, I'm a big foody, food and snacks are my life.
I went to the counter and saw the menu. The receptionist, after looking at me, asked,
"What do you want, ma'am?"
"Umm.." I stopped.
"Huh? Are you confused, ma'am?" He asked.
"Honestly, yes." I said.
"Well then ma'am, why don't you try a cheese burger? Many students have opted for this today." He suggested.
"If you say so, then fine. I'll go with cheese burger." I said.
"Okay ma'am. If you want something else in the future, just tell us." He smiled.
I waited for the cheese burger to arrive. I looked around. People were eating and cracking jokes with their friends. I opened Friendsbook application on my phone. No messages, no notifications and no friend requests. Judy was also offline. I closed it and locked my phone again. Just then I heard.
"Here's your cheese burger ma'am." The receptionist offered.
"Thank you so much." I took it and smiled.
I moved towards the table where no one was sitting. I started eating it. Yum! I was damn hungry. It was so delicious.
"Hiyori!" Someone shouted.
I looked around and saw a girl coming towards me with a fast pace.
"Hello Hiyori. Nice to see you." She greeted and smiled.
Her name was Yuka, Yuka Honda. She was a healthy girl, with curly dark blue hair, medium height, dark blue eyes, slim and maintained figure and wore glasses. She was the topper of our college and always scored excellent marks. She was wearing a long skirt with a T-shirt. The color combination was graceful. The combination suited her fair complexion.
"Hi Yuka. Want some?" I asked her, although I never wanted to share it.
"No thanks. I have already eaten two bowls of rice manchurian. My stomach is full." She said. She took a chair and sat beside me.
"Okay. Hehe." I smiled.
"I saw you alone so I thought I should accompany you. Why don't you come with us?" She asked.
"Iie. It's okay. I'm fine." I said.
"Okay then I'll also be here with you." She said.
"How sweet of you, Yuka." I said.
"No problem." She gave a toothy smile.
"By the way, I saw your paintings online. They were fantastic. I mean, how can anyone paint so beautifully? Only you can do it, Hiyori. You are so much creative. Plus, you are good in studies. Well, I salute you! I really admire you." She said.
"Thank you so much for complimenting my paintings but about the studies..." I giggled. "Not as good as you. Look, who is saying?" I said.
"Ah! Leave it please. All tease me saying I'll get full marks without even knowing how much I have studied. That really irritates me." She sighed.
