And if they cry? Hold them.
And if they scream? Hold them.
And if they fight? Hold them.
And if they become silent? Raise their head with your hands, look into their eyes; revel in the beauty of their humanity, and slowly wipe their tears away. Kissing their forehead, speak gentle words, "hold onto me, I won't let you fall."
And if you hold their heart, they'll find one more reason to hold on for one more day.
