To start NO I don't plan on giving up on this story. It's just part of me also wants to do a story the drastically shakes things up in the Danmachi series. I had one idea in mind but I want to hear all your thoughts on it.
This new idea would be a crossover with another series that I think could be interesting in the context of Danmachi. The series in question is:

Monster Hunter! A series that I have adored for over a decade at this point. I've always wanted to do a proper story on it, but always struggled to find a series that works with it. However I think Danmachi could work, however you're probably wondering how exactly this would work, here are the major bullet points.
Major Plot/Lore Bullet Points
Monsters: The Monsters of Monster Hunter exist both outside of the Dungeon and within it. Despite these creatures living in the Dungeon, they do not serve its will, simply living on instinct in an attempt to survive. Monsters are dangerous due to actively moving between floors, causing trouble for Adventurers.
The Artemis Familia: Goddess of the Hunt, she started her Familia to create a dedicated group who would hunt the various dangerous monsters of the world. As a result all members of the Artemis Familia are referred to as "Monster Hunters" or simply "Hunters" by the people of Orario and other Adventurers.
The Adventurer's Guild: The Guild has a separate set of employees who manage Quests specifically for the Monster Hunters of the Artemis Familia. These Employees are responsible for keeping track of each Hunter's Hunter Rank, handing out Quests appropriate for their Rank, and ensuring they receive the proper reward Valis upon Quest Completion.
Hunters vs Adventurers: Unlike standard Adventurers, Hunters do not fight the monsters created by the Dungeon to collect Magic Stones. Instead they focus all of their efforts into Hunting Monsters that hinder other Adventurers on their quest to descend the floors. Hunters will also take Quests to gather materials from within the Dungeon or outside of Orario.
Hephaestus Familia: The Hephaestus Familia has a close relationship with the Artemis Familia, forging and crafting weapons made from the materials they gather off the Monsters they hunt. All Monster Hunters get a discount on the equipment they have forged due to how dangerous their work is.
The Protagonist & Bell: The Protagonist is a Low Rank Hunter who has a few years experience. He's between 18-21 Years of age. Bell is another member of the Artemis Familia who recently became a full fledged Monster Hunter. Bell has the Protagonist appointed as his mentor to help him learn the ropes of true Monster Hunting. Bell will be older, around 16-17 and his weapon will be Dual Blades.
So that's the basic idea! I simply want to know if anyone is interested in this idea. I personally think it could be a fun shake up on the standard events of Danmachi. Of course I'm open to suggestions for unique Skills the Protag could have and love interests.
