"Are you okay...Scott?" The man said, looking at Scott's name badge.
"Um.. Yeah, I think so. Just not my day today." The blonde said to the stranger, looking everywhere else except him.
"Alex." The man held out his hand for Scott, as he placed the tray on the counter.
"Nice to meet you, Alex." The taller man shook his hand. "Are you new around here?" He asked curious, having not seen him before.
"Nope, lived here all my life." The brunette said confidently.
"Really? I thought I would remember someone who looked like you do... I mean-" Alex laughed.
"Don't worry. I don't get out much. My home is my safe place. However, today I thought I should go out. Maybe it was fate telling me I was gonna meet you." Alex said, flirtatiously. Scott blushed.
"Maybe." Scott said with a smirk, gaining more confidence and flirting back.
"What time do you finish?" Alex asked leaning on the counter in front of Scott.
"I'm closing up now, we could just have a coffee and get to know each other?" Scott really wanted him to say yes because he was intrigued by him.
"Are you allowed to close up early?" The tall brunette asked a little wary.
"I always close at this time, I just don't leave until later. The wifi is faster here." Scott said with a smile, waking over to the door and turning the closing sign over.
"Oh I see." Alex said with a laugh.
"How do you know what time I leave anyway?" The blue eyed man asked curiously and a bit freaked out.
"Um..I've seen you leave a couple of times" Alex admitted
"I thought you said you don't get out much" Scott was uncomfortable.
"I don't but I can see the coffee shop from my apartment building." The brunette said with a smile.
"Okay, so how about that coffee?" Scott replied, now more settled. He walked behind the counter.
"Waters fine for me, I don't really like coffee." Alex said finding a seat. He had the whole place to himself but could decided if he wanted to sit by a window or not. He decided on the one closest to the counter.
"You came in a coffee shop, yet you don't like coffee. You are one strange person." Scott said with a small chuckle, shaking his head.
"Who said I came for a drink anyway?" Alex shot back with a smug look, making The blonde smile smile.
-------------------
"So you want to be a singer, selling out arenas world wide?" Alex asked. He found Scott's life interesting.
"Maybe. I haven't thought that far. I just wanna do what I love to do and that's singing. Selling out an arenas sounds good though." They both laughed.
They talked for hours just about random and interesting things, there was never an awkward silence. Before they realised, it was dark and time to go home. Neither of the boys wanted it to end.
"Let me walk you home." Alex said, very eagerly.
"You don't have to." The singer said politely.
"I want to." Alex said holding the door open for Scott.
"Thank you." Scott blushed which was not the first time that day, all because of the man he spend his evening with.
They took a slow walk to Scott's house because neither of them wanted the night to end. They loved each other's company, having only met each other a few hours ago. It was like it was meant to be. So cliché.
They reached Scott's house, the blonde stopped to face Alex. Just looking at his face, not sure of what to say or do.
"I liked this, we should do it again." He said to Alex, hoping he would agree.
"We should. I really enjoyed it. How about I come to the coffee shop same time tomorrow?" The tall brunette said with a smile.
"I would really like that." Scott smiled not sure if a hug was appropriate. They stood in silence for awhile not sure what to do.
"So see you tomorrow, Alex." Scott said turning back to his house and unlocking the door, feeling awkward in the moment.
"Yeah, see you tomorrow Scott." smiled and walked away.
As soon as the tall blonde closed to door his smile grow wider just thinking about Alex. He was in awe.
