Carlos DeVil x Reader [CANCELLED]

Welcome to Auradon Prep

"So, are you coming to the welcoming event for them tomorrow?" Audrey asks

"I mean, probably. It's a pretty big deal and most of the school is going anyways."

"Well yeah, I know,but I was just wondering since...you know...one of the ones coming is Cruella's son."

"Yeah, I heard. That's not going to stop me from coming though. I'll be in the background anyways. I'm not gonna let him get near me, or Dude."

Unfortunately, I slept in a little bit and missed the limo driving onto the school grounds. I made it outside just at the end of Fairy Godmother's little spiel and took a seat in the grass beside Tia, Tiana's daughter, and her boyfriend, who are actually sitting behind where the four are currently standing.

"...doors of wisdom are never shut! But the library hours are from 8 to 11, and as you may have heard, I have a little thing about curfews." I roll my eyes as she says that, and then examine the four.

"So Tia, do you know who's who? Audrey mentioned to me that one is Maleficent's daughter, and I'm assuming that's the one wearing purple. And one is Cruella's son, which is obviously the one decked out in black and white. What about the other two?"

"Well, you're right with those two. Her name is Mal, and he's Carlos. And then there's Evie, the Evil Queen's daughter, and Jay, Jafar's son." she explains, pointing to each one.

"Ah, ok."

Then Ben begins to speak, "It is so, so, so good to finally meet you all," He begins to shake Mal's hand, and I notice him pause for a second. When he's not with Audrey, I hang out with him every now and then. We've had some late night convos, and one was actually about her. He told me that he likes her, but he doesn't feel loved. They're always doing what she wants. I completely understand where he's coming from. And I know that he is just too kind hearted and won't tell her how he feels. Now with this new Mal chick, I can tell by the look on his face and in his eyes, that he's interested. I don't know how, but I'm going to figure out a way to get those two together. Even though she's evil.  "this is a momentous occasion, and one that I hope will go down in history as the day our two peoples began to heal."

"Or the day you show four peoples where the bathrooms are."

"A little bit over the top?"

"A little more than a little bit." 

"Well so much for my first impression."

Gosh, I'm actually starting to like this Mal chick. She seems really sarcastic and sassy; I think we'll be pretty good friends. Wait, what? Did I just say that? A good person friends with someone from the Isle? Hmm...I guess we'll just have to see.

Then Audrey, probably noticing what's going on, interrupts their little moment, "Hey, you're Maleficent's daughter, aren't you? Yeah, you know what? I totally do not blame you for your mother trying to kill my parents and stuff. Oh, my mom's Aurora. Sleeping-"

"Beauty. Yeah, I've heard the name. And I totally do not blame your grandparents inviting the entire world, but my mother, to their stupid christening." Girl, you just got burned.

"Water under the bridge?"

"Totes!" 

And after that exciting convo and a completely forced laugh from the two, Ben continues. "Okay! So how about a tour? Yeah? Auradon Prep, originally build over 300 years ago and converted into a high school by my father when he became king." 

He then takes them to his father's statue and claps to change it. This causes Cruella's son, Carlos was his name?, to scream and jump into the other guy's arms - Jay, right?

This makes Ben chuckle, "Carlos, it's okay. My father wanted his statue to morph from beast to man to remind us that anything is possible."

"Does he shed much?" Mal asks.

"Yeah, mom won't let him on the couch." 

And with that, Ben, Audrey, and the Four head into the school. Which is out cue as well to head to our first period class.

---------THE NEXT DAY---------

The bell rings signifying that school is over. Today was the first actual day of having the kids from the Isle of the Lost at Auradon Prep. I surprised myself be actually befriending one of them; Evie I think was her name. We surprisingly have a lot in common. When I get outside I let Dude off his leash and start walking. Out of nowhere, he goes running in the other direction.

"Dude!" I yell as I chase after him.

I make it about to the tourney field before I have to stop for a breather. I stop on the track as I watch Dude continue to run. I notice Ben working with one of the new tourney players on the field. After a little bit, I continue to chase after Dude.

"Dude!" I yell again. Both Ben and the guy he's working with look at me and see Dude running their way. The new player then starts running. I can't tell if they're practicing sprints or if he's running away from Dude, which wouldn't make sense, but whatever; it doesn't matter at this point, I just need to get him back. Before we even realize what's happening, the guy continues to run into the forested area around the field, Dude following.

"Carlos? Carlos!"

"Ben! Can you go get Dude for me?"

"Yeah, sure." And with that, he runs into the trees after Dude and the new kid.

"Thanks!"
