Although it's one of my favorite songs (and probably most of yours too), I'm not going to put Did I Mention in this chapter/story. Ben will still ask Mal out/to the coronation the same, just minus the song.

"So, are you guys going to the tourney game tonight?" I ask as I lay on Mal's bed while she and Evie sit at the table doing homework.

"Oh, pro-"

"-for sure!" Evie cuts Mal off.

I notice Mal roll her eyes.  "Were you not planning on going?" I ask her.

"Nah, not really. Sports aren't really....my thing."

"Same here, but I still go to support my classmates and the team. And just have a lot of fun in the crowd."

"Ok but-"

"Oh come on Mal!" Evie exclaims, "We have to go and support Jay and Carlos."

Evie and I look at her attentively. Finally, with a huff and another roll of her eyes, she answers. "Fine."

"Yay!" Evie says. "I can't wait!"

"Yayyy.." Mal says, unenthusiastically.

"Hey," I start, changing the subject, "can I ask you guys a kind of personal question?"

They both look up at me. "Um, yeah." Evie says a little curious.

"I suppose." Mal agrees.

"When you guys first got here, I noticed a lot of Maleficent in you Mal, and Jafar in Jay. Evie, how come you and Carlos are not really like your parents?"

Mal looks at me and raises her eyebrow, "Is this the same question you asked Carlos earlier?"

I stare at her, surprised. "Uhh, yeah. How'd you know that?"

"He told us about your guy's conversation; you apologizing and all."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"What'd he say?"

Evie joins in, "He was just really grateful. I'm sure he said this, but basically everyone here hates us because of our parents. He was touched that you even wanted to apologize. Not many people would approach us like that."

"Wow. I didn't realize one little sorry could do so much."

"Yeah, Let's just say we didn't get many apologies on the Island-"

"-Or any at all." Mal chimes in.

"Oh wow. It was really that bad over there?"

They just kind of stare at me with sad looks on their faces, and then look away, nodding.

"Enough about us though," Evie says, smiling now, "let's talk about you."

"Me?"

"Yeah. Carlos seemed to have a lot to say about you. And not just about your apology."

"What do you mean?" I can feel myself heating up a little.

"I think he likes you."

"Really?" I can tell I'm full-on blushing now.

"Yeah - oh my gosh, you blushing! You like him too!"

"Anyways..." I say, avoiding the subject, "I'm gonna go and get ready for the game. I'll see you later." And with that, I left their room.
