Day to Always Remember

~Natsu POV~

I woke up feeling so weird. I wasn't wearing anything but my underwear. What happened last night?

My head hurt a lot... And I really had to pee. I could barely think straight.

I saw Gray laying there when I woke up. He slept so soundly. Very cute. I stretched and got out of bed to go take a piss and wash my face off. I didn't know why I was feeling so weird this morning.

When I got back out, I felt a little better, and Gray was waking up, so I nudged him very lightly. "Gray, I'm up."

He groaned and he sleepily replied "okay... Gimme a minute." His sleepy voice almost made me melt right then and there.

I just sat in bed on the other side and waited. Finally he sat up, yawned, and stretched. "Morning~" he chirped and rubbed his eyes.

"Good mornin!" I tried to sound cheery but it was hard to do so, having just awoken.

"Sleep good?" Gray scooted across the bed and sat by me as he asked that.

"Oh, yeah. Sure did."

"Glad to hear it. Wanna eat somethin'?"

Hell yeah I did. "Sure!"

"Then get dressed." He paused. "Only if you wanna of course."

That caught me a little off guard. This wasn't my house, so I had to put on a little something. I just put on my shorts and a sleeveless shirt.

Meanwhile in that kitchen of his, I told him my head hurt when I woke up.

"Oh. It's because of that Sake. It's okay. You'll feel better really soon."

"Eh... I"ll try not to drink so much anymore." I wasn't lying either "But thanks for telling me."

"No problem."

~Gray POV~

It was silent for a minute, and Natsu looked like he was thinking. Shocking, I know.

Finally he broke the silence. "Gray. Why else did you invite me here? Besides the fact that it was my birthday?"

My heart jumped. Was he getting on to me? Did he know?

I asked him to come here, yeah, but... I'm still too nervous to tell him that... I love him.

Even with that feeling inside me, I felt myself just say it.

"I wanted to tell you something."

"What's up, then?"

I hated myself now but it was too late. I had to tell him.

"Natsu..." I walked a little closer to him. "I've been meaning to tell you something. Promise you'll be cool with it?"

"Y-yeah. Anything."

"I..." I sighed. "Natsu. I'm in love with you... I invited you here to ask you to be my boyfriend."

I watched his face get super pale, then in a matter of seconds, his face was super red. "Wh... Gr... I...!?"

I didn't know what to do at this point. I tried to back up, but he stepped to me. "G-Gray? Do you mean it?"

I nodded.

"Then... You'd like to know that... I feel the same way. I love you too."

Now I was the one blushing like an idiot. I could feel it on my face.

I let the feeling go, and all I could think about now was, why couldn't I have told him earlier!? That's the problem now.

I sighed. "Why could I just have told you this earlier?"

Natsu immediately echoed "why couldn't I have told you!?"

"I- I don't know." I walked closer to him. "You told me a bit late, though."

Natsu had the biggest look of fear on his face I had ever seen in a long time. "ARE YOU ALREADY TAKEN!?"

~Author POV~

Gray cut him off, a little scared, right away. "No no no! I'm perfectly single. I swear..."

"Then why do you say I'm late...? I don't understand."

"The thing is..." Gray nervously scratched the back of his head "there are more people movin' in here later... If you or I would have just said it sooner, then we could have had a perfect night alone."

Natsu groaned. "Oh, is that all? That's fine. I enjoyed last night a lot, anyway. I'm fine."

"Oh"

Natsu impatiently shook. "So, is it a yes or-?"

"Yes. Hell yes. I'd love to go out with you. Just... Be mine."

At this point Natsu felt his heart trying to explode out of his chest. "Oh." He tried to keep calm from his internal raging excitement by smiling. "Thanks. Thanks a lot."

Gray began walking to him, and Natsu was wary. "Gray, what're ya-" and Gray hugged him, practically squeezing the life out of him at first, then he loosened the grip "I love you. So much. I'm so happy that I finally get to call you mine."

Natsu was blushing but it was a feeling he wasn't used to. "S-stop it... You're making my face feel weird. A-ah!? What am I feeling?"

Gray chuckled and looked at his rosy face. "Love." He kissed his cheek really quick.

His face began to hurt from blushing. "Love feels embarrassing!" he covered his face.

"It's a good feeling to have. Trust me."

An hour later, the two were just laying down together. Natsu broke the silence. "So, when are these new people coming? Who are they?"

Gray thought about it a minute. "I dunno, honestly. But I know it's 2 people, and they're most likely guys.  It's gonna be weird."

"I don't wanna leave you alone with them!! Gray... Can... Can I move in-?"

"Huh!? I guess but... We've been dating how long? A few hours? And you wanna--"

"Yeah. Why not? We're a gay couple, not like that's gonna put up any red flags." Natsu grinned.

Gray paused. "I- i never thought about it that way. Then, sure. But it's a complicated process. Want me to help ya with the stuff?"

"If ya want. Depends on how long that'll take..." Natsu groaned to himself.

Gray sat up. "It took me a week to get in here officially, but the time all depends. The landlord here is nice, I'm sure he'll let you in real quick anyway. This is only a condominium after all."

Natsu chirped. "Oh, is that all? I'll ask him after I meet the new guys moving in here." He sat up too and moved next to him. "This'll be fun."

Thanks so much for being patient for this chapter. I'm so busy lately, and just ugh. I have no time for anything. Not to mention I'm in the middle of family issues. I need to focus more on my life than this. Don't expext updates to come often, but there always will be more to come!
