Austin: You spiked the ball, but it flew in a crazy direction. "[Y/L/N]!!!" Coach yelled. "What in the hell was that?!" He yelled as he threw his team clipboard on the gymnasium floor, making a loud slap. You rolled your eyes. You were just off your game tonight knowing your boyfriend, Austin, wasn't in town to see your first volleyball game. "Come on, Kaitlyn. What the hell is wrong with you?" your teammate, Jessica said as she patted your shoulder. "I'm just a little upset. My boyfriend couldn't be here tonig-" You were interrupted by a volleyball hitting you straight in the side of the face. "SHIT!" You yelled before your head hit the ground. When you landed, the back of your head hit the gym floor when everything went black. You could faintly hear people calling your name desperatley trying to get you to wake up. "Someone call the emergency room!" You heard your coach yell in a worried tone that you'd never heard before. All you remember was red and blue lights flashing through your eyelids and fast speaking adults, usually a combination on "she's not awake" and other obvious stuff.

You were awoken by a tedious beeping of a monitor in your hospital room. What happened? you thought to yourself as you rubbed your head. Your hand got caught in a couple wires and tubes connected to you, so you made a small ruckus. Suddenly, Austin woke up from his sleep on the small couch chair. "Oh my God, Kaitlyn. Nurse!" He yelled as he stood up quickly and rubbed his tired eyes, doing his best to look awake. He walked to your bed and smiled. "You look really beautiful." You gave him a big hug. The familiar smell of his cologne swam into your nose as you breathed in deeply and tears began to well up in your eyes. "Where were you when I needed you the most?" You asked him as tears soaked through his Trukfit shirt. "Sh.... Don't cry, baby girl. I'm here now." He cooed as he gently rubbed your back. "This time, I'm not going anywhere," He said as you held him a little tighter.

When the morning came, the rest of the crew came along to visit you. Alex came in holding a bouquet of flowers, Tyler holding a couple boxes of dark chocolate, which was your favourite, and Zach holding a huge teddy bear. "Did Austin send ya? Because if he didn't, y'all should be in school." You said as you sat up in the bed. "No, Austin's coming in a few. We're ditching school because we're too cool for school. Duh.." Alex said as he laughed. Sarah walked in the room and your heart jumped. "And the fact that it's actually almost eight o'clock at night. Trying to be slick, Alex?" She asked and then walked to your bed. "Hey Kaitlyn!" she yelled as she ran in the room. She was your best friend and Alex's girlfriend. She was always there for you, just like times like these. You two spoke while your heart began to ache for Austin. You didn't ask where he was, but you really wanted to. Suddenly, you smelt his familiar scent again. You ignored it, but it made you feel more upset. A pair of hands covered your eyes. You knew it was Austin. "Austin!" You yelled as you felt happy again. "How'd you know it was me?" He asked as he frowned like a child. "I could smell you." You said as you hugged him. "Do I smell bad?" He asked as he smelt his shirt. "Bro, you smell like Hollister." Zach said as he fist bumped Tyler. Austin shot them a glare. "It's true." They muttered. "Hey, guys, visiting hours are gonna be over in a few. Start saying your goodbyes." A hurried nurse spoke. They nodded. "Hey, we're outie." Robert said as he gestured to the whole group with his thumb. "Yeah, I'll catch up with you guys in a minute." Austin says before he sits down and turns to you. "Baby, I'm sorry I wasn't here for you. I know what I did was wrong and I really want to fix it. How about the day you get out of this place, you and I spend the day together. No matter what day it is. We'll be together." He said. You simply nodded in agreement. He kissed your lips gently but with strength, showing you how passionate he was about you, about him and about your relationship. "I love you, Austin." You said as he released you from his arms. "I love you too, Kaitlyn." He said as the nurse escorted him out of the room so you could get some rest before they ran your scans.
