Imagine:
It was summer and you and Austin were having a sleep over. Both have you have been best friends since 4th grade, but you developed stronger feelings in 6th grade. He was just so sweet and your personalities always matched perfectly. When you two were in middle school, everyone went out of there way to get you two together, whether if it was to get you two to talk or sit next to each other. You, of course, didn't mind, but he just treated it normally and ignored it. You knew you loved him, but he always had the trait of a best friend that told you it would never happen. You two were sitting in your bed, just talking about everything that's happened, from fourth grade to high school. "So, how's it been over here while I've been gone?" he asked. You shrugged, "Same. Nothing ever really happens. Even if something did happen I probably wouldn't be the one to say." "What do you mean Kayla?" "I was never 'popular' or had a lot of friends during school, the fact that you were there actually made me happy." Austin's face seemed softer then earlier. "Well, you had Alex too." he reassured. "Yeah, but remember, at the beginning of middle school we didn't like each other." "But you have us now and that's the only thing that matters." he said giving you a friendly hug. "Yeah I guess." you said just wanting to get off the topic. "Let's go outside" you said, remembering the campfire your dad had set up. "Sure" When you two got outside, Austin looked upset when he walked over to the fire. "What's wrong?" you asked. He looked up at you with a childish pout, "Is there gonna be any s'mores?" You giggled at him which made him break out into a smile. "Of course, I'll be right back" While you were walking away, you didn't notice Austin going through the back door leading towards the kitchen.

I can't wait to scare Kayla. We always did this at our sleepovers, whether if she was the victim or if it was me. I went to hide in the den right next to the pantry. I remember how I scared her in 7th grade with a rubber snake in her bed when we were on a camping trip. She fell out of her bunk and ran to mine, asking me to get rid of it. When I showed her it was fake she got really mad at me. She didn't talk to me for about a week. I thought I would break at 3 days. Yeah, we're friends and nothing more, but I want that nothing more in our relationship. To be the one to help her when she's scared or to be the one she tells everything to. Sure, she already does that, but it's impossible to say everything to someone if you haven't even said three simple words. I love you. But she doesn't feel that way. I heard the door open and there she was, she was so beautiful. She went to go get what I'm guessing is the s'more items from the pantry. She looked over to the pantry door. I didn't fully close it so she saw the rim of my red snapback. I put it backwards that way it wouldn't be to obvious. She put everything on the counter when her phone rang. "Hello?" I couldn't hear the other side of the conversation. "Oh, hey. No, I'm just getting some stuff for me and Austin to eat." I guess it's her friend Kim she always talks about. She let out a sigh "Yes, that Austin." Oh? I was certain type of Austin. "No, we're not going to do anything, he's just spending the night." .... "Not like that, we're just friends." And then there it is. We're just friends. "Yeah, what if." What if what? "I mean yes, I love him, but if I say something that doesn't necessarily make it better." Oh. Yes! Thank the lord, #74, anything good or bad that happened, I don't even care anymore! SHE LOVES ME! I decided to come out of the den, which made her freeze. She didn't jump or anything, just stood there and started blushing.

Did he seriously just hear that. God kill me now. I didn't do anything, so he decided to step forward. It was weird though, cause he kept stepping forward. What was he doing? Your question was soon answered when he kissed you. You tried to comprehend if this was real or not. As soon as you came to your senses, you kissed him back. You held the sides of his neck and smiled into the kiss. You two stayed like that for what seemed like forever. You felt like you were on cloud nine when you were friends, but now it's a full blown cloud ten. It was magical. He later pulled away with the most childish grin that warmed your heart. "I love you too Kayla." He brought his hands to your face again and kissed you, but with this time more passion and more in sync. You hoped these moments with Austin would never end, and it turns out, that they never did.
