"Mary's birthday is coming up and I want to do something special for her but I don't know what. Help me bro your the 'romantic' one" I beg Gilinsky on the other end of the phone.
"Hmm I don't know man just take her out to dinner or something"  wow good advice Gilinsk. Note the sarcasm. I rolled my eyes and hung up the phone, collapsing onto my bed. I really want this birhday to be special for her, but i have no ideas. I sighed thinking I wouldn't be able to do anything special for my baby girl, when I thought of something. It was the perfect idea. I just have to get everything ready for her. I threw on some clothes and rushed out the door not wen bothering to fix my hair. I got to the flower ship and purchased a single red rose, the guy behind the counter gave me a cheeky smile obviously knowing it was for a very special girl. Next I went to a toy store purchasing the biggest and cutest teddy bear I could find. I ran home getting everything ready I knew she was going to love it.

*next morning*

I woke up feeling anxious and I began doubting myself. What if she has other plans, what if she hates it. Ugh it's hard to know sometimes.
I got dressed properly today fancy yet casual it was kinda my style. I walked out of my room and into the kitchen grabbing the rose out of the vase I put it in and grabbed my keys heading out to my car.
I reached Mary's door and took a deep breath ringing her door bell. No more than 30 seconds later I was met face to face with a sleepy looking Mary. She was still beautiful even if she was in one of my old sweatshirts and a pair of shorts. Her hair was pulled back showing off her amazing cheekbones and her beautiful eyes. I loved everything about her, her voice, he smile, her everything. I was pulled out of my thoughts " Jack hello, are you there or off with the fairies?" She questioned me. I chuckled and responded with "well I'm the fairy queen" she started to laugh as I picked her up throwing her over my shoulder. Still holding the rose we went into the bedroom and I lay her down on the bed. Handing her the rose. She gasped and thanked me running down stairs to put it in a vase. I lay down on her bed thinking about how lucky I was to have her.
She came back into the room and neither of us said anything I just grabbed her hand dragging her out of he apartment and to my car. When we got in I quickly passed her the teddy bear and she started giggling at my actions.
We got to a beautiful rocky beach and we lay together on the sand watching the waves break against the shore.
"I love you Mary" I whispered into her ear, she turned around and kissed me whispering " I love you too Jack" I kissed her again and once again wondered how I ended up being with such a great girl
