" baby, Wake up" I opened my eyes seeing Carter grinning widely at me. I rubbed my eyes and returned the. Smile realizing it was Christmas.
I sat up and pulled Carter into a hug. He pulled away only to touch our foreheads together.
i stood up pulling Carter with me, I jumped into his arms and he grabbed onto me tight running down the stairs to the living room. i put me on the couch but i immediately jumped up and ran to the kitchen grabbing my festive sweater and a plate of cookies i had baked the night before. i walked back to carter who was standing next to the tree staring at it like a child. I walked up behind him and stuffed a cookie in his mouth laughing at his reaction and the half eaten cookie crumbling to the floor.
He turned around and a smirk formed on his face and i backed away slightly pressing my back against the wall. He laughed at my reaction but jumped forward and pounced on me tackling me to the ground and getting on top of me, straddling me. I looked up at him with wide eyes and said "no, Carter..." but before i could protest anymore he reached down and began tickling me. I burst into laughter wriggling around underneath him. I finally pushed him off and sat up grabbing the present i bought for him and threw it at him he did them with mine. We counted to three and ripped the paper off each of them. I had gotten Carter a pair of Vans and he had gotten me a pair of earrings. It may not seem like much to most people but every Christmas was special to us but this one is even better it was our first anniversary as a married couple! God I love this boy.
