As most have noticed I've been gone for quite a while. Between life and just losing interest in writing I've barely even thought about working on this story. Until tonight when I decided to work on it yet again.

I can't promise how often I'll update or anything like that. I will say thanks to those who have read and might still be waiting for this update. You are very much appreciated. The comments everyone leaves mean a lot, and might be the only reason I came back after all this time. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

-------------------------------------------

All I saw around me was darkness. Darkness darker than any I'd ever seen before. I was anxious, as if waiting for someone to jump out at me at any time. No matter which way I looked I saw nothing but black. Black so dark it made the darkness behind my eyelids look as bright as a snowy winter day. I felt alone

But I knew I was far from alone.

"I see you finally decided to come for a visit."

I spun around, looking for the source of the voice. But of course I saw nothing, but something, or someone, was there. The eerie thing was the voice sounded exactly like...

"Yours?" the voice said, a small chuckle in it's tone. "Of course it sounds like yours. It is yours. I guess coming to visit was an accident. Too bad. I guess I'll just have to wait until you understand where you are, and who I am."

Next thing I knew my eyes opened and I sat straight up, looking around for any sign of the voice. All I found was an empty room, but at least this one wasn't so dark I couldn't see my own hand. This one was just a normal room. In fact, after a few moments I realized exactly what room it was. Xavier's room. Which meant I was still in hell.

Now the next question was how long had I been out, what exactly had happened and who the hell had been talking to me? I shook my head, deciding it was probably just a bad dream, a nightmare. It had to be.

After glancing around for a but I laid back down, trying to ignore the pounding headache I now realized I had. Why couldn't angels be immune to headaches?

"I see you're finally awake."

I jumped, looking over at Xavier as he walked in. There was a small smile on his face, but also a look of uncertainty. It was a look I didn't like, one that told me things had happened that were out of the ordinary. Well, more out of the ordinary than an angel being kidnapped and living a normal life, only to have everything she knew flipped upside and forced to marry some lunatic who wanted to rule the world. "Yea."

That was all I could think of to say, which was followed by an uneasy silence. "What happened?" we both asked at the same time.

I shook my head as I sat up. "I have no idea. One minute I catch up the guy, who's a shapeshifter by the way, the next I'm holding him against the tree covered in his own blood."

"So you have no idea what happened in between?"

I shook my head. "Not a clue. It's like I blacked out or something. But I don't even remember doing that."

Xavier walked over and sat down on the bed beside me, his hands together in front of him. "All I know is whatever you did traumatized him. All he kept saying once you let him go was that he'd tell us anything so long as we kept you away. So long as we didn't let those black eyes look at him again."

Black eyes? "But my eyes are blue..."

"They weren't when you looked at me back there."

I froze. Black eyes. No recollection of what happened. That strange dark world with the eerily familiar voice. Just what did it all mean? I had so many questions, but not a single answer.
