My heart was crushed. I turned around and ran home crying. I heard him call after me, I didn't listen. I knew he saw me.
The next day at school I ignored him until he caught up to me while we were walking to math.
"Look, last night wasn't what you thought it was!"
"Oh, really? It looks like the rumor was the truth,"
"No, please. I wouldn't do anything to hurt you. She came in through my window and started flirting with me, she wouldn't get out. I tried, she only left when I called the police. I called after you, hoping you would help and- wait what were you doing there anyway?"
"Well, I was trying to surprise you, but clearly you don't deserve it," I stopped walking and looked down
"Please believe me. I love you, Skylar. I don't like Zoe. She's been coming into my house every night because she's jealous of me and you. Please, believe me, Skylar. There's no one I'd rather be with than you,"
"Fine, but I'm talking to her later,"
"Skylar, you know she likes me, she's going to say something crazy. If you want real proof ask Jack or Taylor, maybe Jack told Taylor. Please, I love you,"
"Okay, okay, okay, I believe you. Just let me talk to Jack after math,"
After math I talked to Jack
"Hey, so is Zoe going out with Zach now?" I questioned
"No, she's been coming into Zach's house every night and flirting with him, he's called the police before,"
Okay now I believe him or is this just a trick? Were all these feelings a lie?
