He had stepped closer, noding as I watched almost every inch of his body move closer in my direction. He was literally centimeters from my face, taking a piece of my hair and tugging it behind my ear. He pressed the tip of his nose against my now rosey cheeks. As his cool breath started fanning my cheeks that were bound to overheat with blushing.
I would have made some stupid excuse to move away from him but I couldn't. Like saying the treats we decided to make were going to burn if we didn't watch them but we had JUST put them in there. I would of gulfed in pain but I used that useless excuse thousands of times.
He ushered our bodies against the countertops as he caged my body with his arms. He started to laugh, topping it off with a smirk.
"Jeeeezz, Soph," He chuckles, scooting away. "I think you're catching a fever or something." He finishes, smirking at how red I was getting. "Here." He offers, shuffling towards the freezer to take out an icepack, placing it on my head.
"I hope you don't catch anything." He steps by me again, kissing my face, right in the corner of my mouth, he was so close he should of just kissed me already!
But I knew he wouldn't, not because he was chicken or afraid, but because he was my best friend. Niall only did these things to see me squirm and see my face almost catch fire. Situations could get so heated I think if I walked into on-going traffic it would be the exact same way.
I met Niall in primary school, he was that kid who did stupid things to get attention. Shoving pencils in his nose, trying to taste glue, even puting bugs into the girl's backpacks. He was the kind of person you wanted to hate but loved at the same time. I think I liked him as a kid because he really didn't have friends. Infront of kids he was cocky, but by himself I always caught him with a book in his hand or a sketch pad.
I remember I was sitting on the swings with my friend, Alphie, who had serious mood swings, who, that day, decided to be mean. I was his friend because I knew he was just having family problems. He screamed at me about something along the lines of not being there enough. I was six! Then Niall jumped in. "Leave her alone!" He yelled, actually scaring Alphie. Alphie had ran away, but not before knocking me down. I didn't want to cry because I try to act confident around Niall, but I knew I wasn't.
He plopped down next to me, "Having sand in your bum feels funny but gives you serrriiiiooouus street cred." And from then on, we were close friends, nothing could keep us apart.
"Come on, Soph!" He shouts, grapping my wrist to pull me into the lounge area. "How about some tv?" He suggests, all I could do was nod due to still being baffled from before. He sits me on the couch as he flicks on the tv, 'Friends' coming on.
"Since you're 'sick' I'll grab you one of those temperature blankets!" Niall then runs to one of the hallway closets and take out a blanket. He then shuffles back towards me as he throws the blanket over us. "You wanna watch this or something else?" He asks, turning to me.
"I-I guess this is fine." I said, finally being able to talk like a normal human being. "Yay!"

After watching tv for a while and waiting for the cookies to get done, they were finally out of the oven. Niall brings in the plate of deserts as we dig in. Being friends with Niall for a long time you start to adapt the same habbits. And one of this is eating, we're both fat-asses.
"These. Are. Amazing!" I exclaimed, throwing yet another cookie into me mouth. I look over to Niall who also agreed. He's adorable when he eats. "Wait!" Niall almost suddenly shouts, looking over to me. "You have crumbs ALL over your face!" He giggles.
"I've known you forever, you seen me at more worse times." I shrugged. He has, those dumb breakups, me stressing over tests, A LOT of things. And I always tend to look terrible in those situations.
"So, here, I'll help." He whispers, scooting over to me. Oh God, its happening again. "Niall, its fine-" Before I could protest anymore he had shushed me. He places his thumb on my face, collecting the bits of food off of it. Why does he have to be this close, why couldn't he just hand me a napkin for pete's sake. He looks at his thumb, shruggs and eats it off of there.
"Niall!" I laugh, punching his arm. He laughed. "There." He whispered, looking me into my eyes. Did I mention how gorgeous his eyes were? They were so clear, like the lens of an expensive camera.
We kept watching tv, eventually watching the movie 'Hancock' with Will Smith, which is SUPER hilarious by the way. The movie was about to come to an end, the saddest part where Hancock is getting beat up by that guy with one hand. He takes the axe, slinging it across the actor's back.
I then felt a hand on my thigh, squeezing it as that part came up. "Ow! I always hated this part!" Niall explains, still not removing his hand. He was still closer from earlier. I would have been gladly to scoot away but who would. We're talking about Niall Horan here. "Its not you can feel it." I chuckle, shaking my head in the process. "But I love, Willie!" Niall shouts, doing a little shimey. "Willie?" I ask, trying not to burst out into laughter at the nickname. "Yeah! Will Smith is incredible!"
After that part was over and the happy ending had finally started to roll in, Niall had tighten his grip. "Yay! They're happy now." He giggles, looking at me. "Aren't you happy for 'em?" He asks. I nod. "You don't look happy, I could.. y'know change that for you." He whispers, scooting his already placed hand closer to me. He kisses my forehead, as he just stares at me. "I-I" I try to make words but I can't, he always had that affect on me.
He then jumps up and stretches, "Oh, Soph, you're adorable when you blush." He smiles, patting my head as he skips away. I had just noticed my cheeks went red, again.
