After hanging out with Alex and Alphie, I headed home. Telling Alex I'll see her tomorrow at Uni and exchanging numbers with Alphie.
"Come on, I could protect you." He laughs, opening the door for me to the coffee shop. "Alph, its fine. I only live down the street. What could possibly happen?" I asked, feeling a slight grin form on my face. "Besides, how would YOU help me?" I asked, snickering as I poked his chest. "Do you see these muscless?" I began to burst out laughing as he lifted up his arms to show his biceps, they were huge but I wouldn't tell him that. "I think I'm good, all I need is my purse and my case of PMS." "Okay, okay." He puts up his hands in surrender as he walks in the other direction.
As I turn to look in the other direction, he calls my name, making me turn around again. "Nice seeing you, mate." He smiles, making me do the same as I nod and begin to walk again.
As I'm walking towards the flat, I couldn't help but think about earlier today. I was responsible for sending one of my best friends to a foster home, away from his mom. I just wanted to help him, I was only six.
I sighed, as I finally head into the entrance of the flat. I grabbed my keys from my purse as I unlocked the door. I didn't really expect Niall to be home, but I guess that expectation flipped when I saw him on the couch, with Sarah.
Niall, still with no shirt on, and Sarah, all over him. I just realized I needed to get out of there quick. Quickly shuffling out of the living room, I was soon stopped. "Soph! Wait!" Niall calls, jumping off of the couch. "Hm?"
He grabbed ahold of my hand, probably noticing my need to hide in my room, "How was coffee with Alex?"
"Uh, it was good. Niall? Do you remember Alphie?" I asked, feeling a small lump in my throat. Niall never really liked the kid since that day on the swings.
"Oh yeah, that little brat."
"Niall, he's not a brat." I said calmly, feeling the need to defend Alph, it wasn't his fault. "Uh, yeah. He use to hit you all the time, I would always have to help you-"
I shook my head, trying to move from his grip. "-Niall, he was sent to the foster home."
The grip around my hand soon became loose as he stuffed his own hands into his pockets, "What do you mean?"
"I mean I seen him today when I was out. That day when that man came and got him, they took him to foster care."
".... Why?"
"-Because his dad use to hit him, blah, blah, family problems, blah blah." Sarah chirps, emerging from the lounge into our conversation. I lifted my head to meet her eyes, they were so dark it was terrible. "Stay out of it." I snapped, ready to ring her neck.
She just chuckled, walking over to Niall to wrap her arms around his torso. She left kisses around his neck, as Niall just watched me. "I'm-I'm sorry for Alphie." Niall says, trying to force a sympathetic smile.
I didn't want a little half smile, nor to have Sarah all over everytime I talked to him. I nodded, turning towards my room to leave them, "I am too."
A few hours later of just doing anything to distract myself, I feel my stomach growl. The sudden feeling changed my decision from staying in my room, to going in the kitchen to find something to eat. I'm tired of their relationship keeping me captive of my mind and room.
I let out a huge sigh, swinging my feet over the edge of my bed as I drag myself towards the door. I open the door, walking down the hall as my ears are feeled with the slight sound of grunting and compacity of Niall and Sarah in his room. I wanted to cringe to the fact that she was with him, or the thought that he was just with me hours earlier. But that was her boyfriend, he was hers, unfortunately.
