Claire's POV
"What are you talking about?" I asked Hikari
We are currently in the place where Hikari almost killed me. This place is like an abandoned warehouse or something, the place is so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
"Are you even listening?" I asked Hikari.
I mean, she said that the old man is the enemy! The old man!!
How could an old man even be the enemy?
But redhead here is just not responding, and continued walking.
I can't take it any more!!!
'Control yourself Claire, Hikari here knows what she's doing!' Phoenix said.
'But she's not answering!' I spat.
Phoenix sighed and said 'don't mess with her, even though shes calm, I could always see that dark aura around her, she's a volcano ready to explode!' Phoenix warned.
I glanced at Hikari, she seemed lost in thoughts. Even though I can't see the dark aura around her, I could feel it, its like she could kill people any minutes
I gluped, maybe I should stop bothering her, I don't want to be her first victim. Thinking of that sent shiver through my spine.
"Claire.." Hikari spoke for the first time.
I was startled at first but her voice was stern so I just said a simple "what?"
She looked at me straight in the eye. Her eyes showed hatred but there is also a bit of saddnes and concern in her bright red eyes.
"U-uh-" I stammered, not sure what to say but she spoke first.
"Do you believed me? In everything I told you?"her voice was soft and not demanding.
"Uh o-of course!" I said and laughed nervously.
"That guy we saw earlier-" Hikari started.
"-im sure your demon also feel something about it, am I wrong?" She said
She's correct, phoenix did warn me about the old man.
"N-no, your not wrong but maybe she and you are just imagining things! The old man did nothing to me at all!" I defended
"There called the demon hunters." Hikari said, still walking to nowhere.
We just walked in silence until we reached a large room that is like a graveyard, I don't really know because were standing in a floor, not soil but there are tombstones in it with a thing lying beside it.
"We die if the demons are extracted from our body" Hikari finally said.
What Hikari said made me shiver, we die if the demons are out of our body?! Then that means-
"These guys are ones vessels Claire, they died when those demon hunters stole their demon out of their body and I -"
Hikari was quivering she's holding back tears.
"-And I'm the only one who survived" hikari said. Bending down to one of the tombstones and get the necklace that is beside it.
She opened the necklace that revealed a small girl with pink hair in it and at the other side is Hikari who is grinning widely, she is like 2 years younger in that picture
"I lost my little sister and all of my friends because of that" she spoke sadly
I looked closer to the tombstone, there is some carving that said 'utsukushi tsuki' then below it read ' death: July 15 2013'. Her sister died two years ago.
I stared at Hikari and I saw a tear sliding into her cheeks.
"There my whole life" she said while standing again, then went to the other side of the room where there is a big picture hanging.
It was a picture of the once vessels. I saw Hikari in the picture hugging a little girl that I saw in the necklace with other girl much older than them at the back, she has violet hair, beside the girl is a boy the same age as a girl with violet hair, the boy has a brown hair and has an arm wrapped around her shoulder grinning as well while the girl is in a sour mood staring daggers at the boy, probably because she does not want to take a picture with him or something.
Beside Hikari is a shy girl shyly waving at the camera while there is a boy beside the shy girl. He is always staring at Hikari and not at the camrra, he has greenish hair, I could tell that he had a crush on Hikari.
All of them had a 'x' mark on there faces except Hikari and the grenisnh hair, though the greenish hair has a '?' Mark in his face.
" what's with all the mark?" I asked
"Those with 'x' marks are all dead, while Drew there is '?' because I didnt found his body" hikari replied.
I looked at the greenish haired boy who Hikari said is Drew.
Then suddenly I feel a little dizzy
"Claire, are you alright?" Hikari asked.
"I-im fine " I said
Before I blacked out.
