So Far, So Good

Jessica held Tiffany's hand the entire way back to her house. When they reached Jessica's door, the only source of light was coming from Krystal's room above them. Jessica made a move to get inside but Tiffany hadn't let go of her hand. Instead she pulled until Jessica stumbled forward and into Tiffany.

Tiffany buried her face into Jessica's hair and leaned her against the door. "I guess I should thank you for not breaking up with me yet."

Jessica let herself relax under Tiffany's touch. "They're not that bad."

"So did anyone interest you?"

Jessica laughed lightly, remembering their previous conversation.

"Taek was nice. A true gentleman. Except his biggest flaw is that he isn't you, so I don't think it's going to work out."

"Mm, that's disappointing. I think he was charmed by you." Tiffany kissed her cheek and moved lower, kissing the corner of Jessica's mouth.

"Yuri also wasn't that bad. She's actually pretty funny."

"I'm glad you think so."

Tiffany reluctantly moved backwards a bit and put a foot of distance between them. As much as she wanted to express her thanks, she knew it was a long night for Jessica. They had all the time in the world anyway.

After saying goodnight Jessica went inside. She took two steps before noticing Krystal by the window overlooking the porch.

"Were you guys kissing?"

"No, I just had something stuck in my mouth and Tiffany was trying to get it out."

She bounded up the steps two at a time to get away from her sister. The day had ended on a good note and Krystal was not going to screw that up.

Not bothering to take off her clothes she flopped onto the bed and soundly fell asleep replaying the night's events.

Jessica awoke to the buzzing of her phone. Still half asleep she took the phone and peeked at it through one eye.

Could you come over tonight?

She smiled broadly and texted back her reply.

Sure, what time?
