Izumi x Reader [Request]

"Geez, can you quit with the tough guy act already, Izumi?"

"Gee mum, can you nag me some more...?" Izumi comebacks to your comment.

"Just remove your shirt and let's get this over with..." The stinging pain was practically making Izumi twitching as you apply more medicine on his back. "Ow,ow... ow!"

"Ok, all done with the back. Come on, flip over."

"OK, hold up, I just need a rest from that damn stinger..."

"You mean 'medicine'." You still continue to apply the medicine on his abdominals. (Or abs. :p)Izumi continues to grit his teeth and scream in pain as quietly as he can, which almost sounded like a girl. "You know Izumu, I didn't know you could be in touch with your feminine side." An anger mark grows on Izumi's face.

"Shut it..."

"You know... you could have left me behind instead of taking the hit Izumi...You should look out for yourself rather than others." Izumi questions you to see what your point is.

"I'm saying ditch me. Just let me take the hit for once. I just don't want you to die because of me..." Your face then gets squished by Izumi, who was practically pinching you as a form of some sort of punishment.

"LEAVE YOU?! IF I LEAVE YOU, WHAT THE HELL WAS THE POINT IN DEFENDING YOU MYSELF? DO YA WANNA DIE THAT BADLY F/N?!!! HUH?!!!" You stay silent as you had no back up argument to that.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking straight..." Izumi sighs and pats your head.

"Look...I'm sorry too- if that was making you worry so much. And for shouting at you earlier..." You wipe the tears with you knuckle and smile.

"Gezz, you're such a dork sometimes.~" You bandaged up Izumi when you finished. "There we go, all done!" You chucked a tube with bandages to Izumi. "Re-apply that every 4 hours, got it Izumi?" You look up at a poster, showing the different Border agents. 'Maybe, if I join Border, I could protect myself more better... and stronger.' You grab Izumi's attention as he saw you staring at the poster the entire time until you spoke up. "Hey Izumi... I think... I wanna join Border as a (whatever class you want)." Izumi registers what you just said for a bit until he responds.

"Do it, I'm not stopping you." You were wide-eyed by that response.

"I thought you were going to stop me from doing that..." You stared at Izumi in belief. Did he really approve of you doing something that could possibly be life-threatening? That's a total bonus! You can fight, don't have to get protected by Izumi all the time and could (could) get paid as well for the amount of Neighbours you killed.

"Just do it. It's your choice if you wanna join or not F/N." You give a small smile as you raise your dominant hand up to form a thumbs up. That's your way of gratitude rather than words. But it couldn't hurt to talk as well.

"Thanks Izumi! I'll be sure to do my best in Border!"

"Just make sure you know the basics, just like you know how to use medicine from learning the basics." You clicked your fingers to Izumi. In achieving something for realisation, your smile grows into a grin.

"Hey, you said 'medicine' this time!"

"Oh shut up!" Giggling at Izumi's terrible comeback, you gave a large, silent hug as your way of saying thank you. In the end, you were able to rescue Izumi not only with medical attention, but with your power as well to protect him.
