Chapter 3

Benny's P.O.V.

*~~<2 Weeks later>~~*

"Hey! Fey! Wait up!" I said trying to catch up to Fey.

"Hey Benny." She said flatly.

I'll bet that Arthur guy is bothering her again, I want to help her but I don't want her to know I was listening to her conversation.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"*Sigh* nothing."

"Ok, well I will be here if you need to talk." I said trying to let her know that I'm here for her.

"Hey Benny, hey Fey." Ethan said walking up next to us with Sarah.

"Hey Sarah, hey Ethan." She said faking a happy mood.

~~~~~~~~~after school~~~~~~~~~

"Hey, you always wear that jacket?" I asked Fey, I just realized I have never seen her without her black leather jacket.

"Yep, I do."

"Why?" I asked.

"I...like it?" She said unsure of her answer.

Something is weird with her, she is way too prefect to be hanging out with a guy like me, her eyes glow sometimes, like actually glow, I have heard her growl like an animal growl, an inhuman growl, her hair naturally grows black and white striped, she always wears the same jacket, like I have never seen her without it. Something weird is going on, I don't know what....but, I will find out.

"Hey, Sarah can't make it tonight, my mom still doesn't trust me with Jane, do you think you could fill in for her?" He asked Fey.

"Yeah, I can, where is Sarah? Dealing with your supernatural problems?" She asked jokingly.

"No...yes." Ethan says admitting that she was.

Fey laughed at his answer and we started walking to Ethan's house.

~~~~~~~At Ethan's~~~~~~~

"Oh, hey Ethan, Benny, Fey." Ethan's dad said as we walked inside the door to his house.

"Hi Mr. Morgan!" Fey says enthusiastically waving.

"Oh, Fey!" Ethan's mom said walking in from the kitchen trying to get Fey's attention, "Sarah can't come sit tonight, would you mind watching Jane for tonight?" She asked.

"Sure, I would love too." She said to Ethan's mom.

"Thank you." She said and then Ethan, Fey, and I all walked up to Ethan's room. Ethan sat down in the chair in front of his computer, I lay down on is bed, and Fey lays down with her head resting on my stomach. I get a lump in my throat the size of a grapefruit, I really like her, she just makes me so nervous. Then I couldn't help but reach down and start to play with her lushes black and white striped hair, it was beautiful, and incredibly soft, like way softer than I expected. She just closed her eyes and let me, then Ethan said,

"Hey, how are you wearing that jacket in here, it's so hot."

"I don't know, I...like it." She says unsure herself about her answer still.

"I don't think I've ever seen you without that jacket." Ethan said realizing what I realized earlier. There was some silence again, but not awkward silence, a comfortable silence. Finally I spoke up and said,

"Hey, you ok?"

I was asking Fey, because I could tell, she was really quiet, normally she is talking and spouting out random things, and just talking, it's unlike her to be quiet, I wonder if the reason is that Arthur guy.

"ETHAN!" His mom yelled from downstairs, so he got up and went down to see what his mom wanted, once he left the room Fey finally said.

"Well, this guy won't leave me alone, and I am just tired of him." She said finally telling me.

"Was this guy a friend, or something....more." I asked scared to hear the answer.

"We we were friends, then we turned into something more....but then we didn't get along very well, so we went back to just being friends, but now, he won't leave me alone, and I just want to get away from my old life...." She said her voice drifting off.

"..." I didn't say anything I just kept playing with her hair not wanting to say the wrong thing.

"Sorry for dumping all of this on you, your just different than most guys, I feel like I could tell you anything..."

"Yeah, that's how I feel with you..." I said to her.

"Well was there something you wanted to tell me?" She asked me, and there were a few things I needed to get off my chest, I told her and then Ethan poked his head in and said,

"Hey Fey, my parents are about to leave, my mom wants to talk to you for a minute."

After he said that Fey sat up, then stood up, and walked out the door and downstairs.

"So, what's going on between you two?" Ethan asked once she was gone.

"*Sigh* Nothing, but I wish there was something." I said.

"Dude, sorry to tell you this, but she is WAY out of your league."

"Yeah, well Sarah is way out of your league too." I said to him.

"ETHAN! BENNY! MRS. MORGAN WANTS YOU!" Fey yells from downstairs, Ethan and I get up and walk downstairs.

"Wow, you guys are leaving early." Ethan said looking at his phone and seeing it was only 3:30.

"It takes about an hour and a half to get there so we need to go early, there is stuff in the fridge to warm up if you get hungry, and Ethan and Benny, do not give Fey any trouble." His mom said as she was walking out the door.

"By mom!" Ethan and Jane yelled as they left.
